Grateful to @JNJInnovation for the opportunity to be the lead author on #COCOON trial #PRO data at #ASCO25. It meant a lot to be a co-investigator and true partner and help shape the secondary endpoint to measure what matters to patients (#QOL matters)!

Reminiscent of results from IMPRESS with gefitinib. Possible confounder here is delay to second line therapy in the continuation group. But PFS with osi + 2L chemo was 5.5m and 2L chemo alone was 7.4m. Prospective COMPEL trial will be very important.

Exciting news for the #EGFR #lungcancer community! The FDA has approved amivantanab + lazertinib as a first-line therapy for #EGFR #NSCLC! This new option brings promising PFS benefits from the MARIPOSA study to more patients—something we’ve needed for far too long.
Remember, more options mean more hope, but they also mean oncologists need to thoroughly discuss these choices with us. And let’s not forget the importance of addressing dermatologic side effects right from the start.
More choices = More hope!

Amivantamab, an antibody against MET and EGFR, plus lazertinib, an EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor, induced a response in 86% of previously untreated patients and led to a median progression-free survival of nearly 2 years. Full MARIPOSA trial results: nej.md/3zkBeFi
