Rhodes is burning...What really matters is not that a Tourist playground burns, its the animals burned, wildlife lost and Nature destroyed...but out headlines talk of cancelled flights and holidays. If we think this is inconvenient..you wait to see the inconvenience of climate refugees, lack of food and water....floods, droughts and war....but lets just carry on leave that to our kids to deal with.

Our seas are essential for life and yet are under threat from human activities. This #WorldOceansDay join us & make a pledge to reduce waste & reuse, buy less & repair, spend more time in nature & be mindful of your connection to it. Together we can do this #CleanerSeas 🩵🌊🦭🤙🏽

Reminder that @EastSussexCC and @EastbourneBC have, year after year, placed a higher value on car parking, than the safety of local children, cycling along the seafront. 🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙🚴🚙🚙🚙🚙🚙

🔥I’m fired up to back @GoodLawProject’s legal challenge to force the government to take robust action on raw sewage dumping in the sea🌊💩
🎥Check out the video we made, together with cross-party MPs, to find out how you can make your voice heard too!

Where else would you see poo-shaped hats and poo-shaped 'awards' for “outstanding contribution to the amount of sewage currently in our seas”?

WANT TO HELP END THE SEWAGE SCANDAL?
Today @UKLabour will bring a vote in parliament to do just that. @JimfromOldham & I have sent a letter to Conservative MPs asking them to support that motion.
PSE contact your local MP, ask them to vote in favour of ending the sewage scandal

"@SouthernWater has now admitted it is unable to say how much sewage it pours into the sea because it does not measure the volume"
How can you claim that a release is 95% rainwater if you don't know this data? Guesswork, that's how.

The genie is well and truly out of the bottle when it comes to the #SewageScandal.
And there's no doubt that water companies, and those that facilitated their profiteering pollution, are in panic mode.

SENSATIONAL NEWS.
Today @thetimes launches its campaign to clean up Britian's rivers and beaches. 👋👋👋
Gov backtracking on increasing fines for water companies. "Disproportionate", says Thérèse Coffey. “Crazy”, says the chair of the EA.
Both out of touch with reality

In the first 31 days of this year, the SSRS recorded 2,884 #sewage alerts in England and Wales. Water companies' investment clearly paying off... 👏
What an absolute shitshow. 🤬

Single-use plastic's devastating impacts reach far and wide. Its production is rooted in fossil fuels, and the part it plays in the climate crisis is huge. We're working to #EndPlasticPollution for good by 2040.

This is horrific.
According to the @SouthernWater website there are multiple CSO releases that have been going on since LAST YEAR.
One is Chichester apparently started before Christmas, 26 days ago!
Unprecedented and catastrophic pollution. How can it be justified?

With @XRBrighton at #Brighton beach to protest routine dumping of raw sewage into seas & waterways by privatised companies that put profit before people & planet. Southern Water’s not the only criminal - Govt just rolled back targets for cleanup #CutTheCrap #DirtyWater
