One night in 1998, Manjul Bhargava was about to go to sleep when he noticed a small Rubik’s Cube in his room. He imagined placing numbers at its eight corners. Then he tried slicing the cube in three different directions. Something extraordinary appeared: a simple geometric way to understand a mathematical law Gauss had developed nearly 200 years earlier. Bhargava stayed awake to work out the details. That playful discovery grew into new mathematics. In 2014, he won the Fields Medal.

In my opinion, extending Flick contract until 2030 this season would be the best decision. His current contract expires in 2028, and if he wins the UCL before then, he might decide not to renew and leave when his contract expires, especially since he has already said Barca will be his last job. If he wins it this season, he might simply see out the remaining year of his contract and leave. Even if he wins it next season, he could still decide to leave in 2028. This is just my opinion, but I hope Deco takes action soon.
