My boys and I are so excited to have more Our Flag Means Death. My youngest was the one who decided we needed to have seafood in honor of the premier. (I found a bag of scallop pieces for $6!) I added some fancy with a candied orange and thyme salt. 😋
I’m glad to see people talk about this stuff, but the article is lacking. The second attempt wasn’t just a “creator group.” It was mostly writers, who were seen as unimportant/interchangeable. And they didn’t just splinter. Union-breaking tactics were utilized.
Why can't comic creators get it together to come together?
Popverse's @graemem looks at the long history of union attempts in the North American comic book industry.

Let's not forget created the JSA, Jay Garrick, Dr Fate, Hawkman (Carter Hall), Zatanna etc. Hail to the Legend himself Gardner Fox ! 🙌
Annual reminder: Many deserve special attention on Batman Day. Gardner Fox started writing Batman by just his third appearance and continued to return. Fox gave Batman his first arch-criminal, first romantic relationship, the Batarang, Batgirl, and more!

I rarely want to see something in the theater, but I am so hyped for this!!! It looks like a great amalgamation of Aquaman stories. ❤️🐙❤️
One king will lead us all. #Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom - Only in theaters December 20.
I'm two movies into my four-day weekend at home. Outside the Fox family's joy during the premiere, I can't see a reason to remember The Flash exists. In contrast, What's Up, Doc? recommended because Jerry Bails was a Barbra Streisand fan, is a gem!! Any suggestions to watch next?

Folks.
Bane is a strategic genius. She-Hulk is a brilliant lawyer. Harley Quinn is a highly educated psychologist. Poison Ivy is a brilliant botanist and biochemist.
I could go on.
When you write these characters as one-dimensional and unintelligent, you're doing it wrong.

If you're looking for something Lovecraftian without the Lovecraft today, you might read some Gardner Fox! We can see Lovecraft's influence in Doctor Fate (with the amazing Howard Sherman) and more. Fox was even a fellow Weird Tales contributor! gardnerfrancisfoxlibrary.com…
I made this poster for a graduate student research forum. I was happy just to earn a spot given the type of research I was doing. I didn't win any funding, but, visually, my poster really stood out. 😊

Latest commission-- A horizontal version of All-Star Comics #4, with three more characters added. I had to do some rearranging! If you think Flash runs funny, I just assumed he could speed-walk and still beat everyone.
