BY KRISHNAMURTI “There are two things which are absolutely necessary to find out about: the understanding of space, and the nature of silence. It is a most interesting thing to find out what space means. We are not talking of the distance between the earth and the moon, but psychological space, the space within. A mind that has no space is a shoddy, little mind, a petty mind; it is caught in a trap and the movement in the trap it calls living. You can observe how little space you have inwardly; we are overcrowded with noise, chattering, endless memories, images, symbols, opinions, knowledge, crammed full of secondhand things. There is no space there at all; therefore there is no freedom. And without this space, in which there is no boundary, the mind is incapable of finding out, of coming upon that immeasurable reality godbrahmanistheoceanoflovean…

HEALING THE BLOODLINE: BREAKING GENERATIONAL TRAUMA Generational trauma is often passed down through patterns, silence, fear, and wounds that were never given the chance to heal. What your grandmother couldn’t heal may have affected your mother. What your mother couldn’t process may have shaped your childhood. But the cycle doesn’t have to continue. Healing begins when someone becomes conscious enough to recognize the patterns, take responsibility for their own healing, and choose a different way forward. You can honor your ancestors without repeating their pain. You can love your family without carrying every wound they left behind. Let the pain end with you, and let the healing begin through you. Sometimes the greatest legacy you can leave your children is a healed version of yourself.

WHY INNER PEACE CAN FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE WHEN YOU ARE USED TO CHAOS Sometimes, peace feels strange when you’ve spent most of your life surviving chaos. When you’re used to uncertainty, emotional ups and downs, constant conflict, or always having to anticipate someone’s next move, a calm environment can feel unfamiliar. You might mistake silence for loneliness, consistency for boredom, or a peaceful relationship for something missing. But sometimes, nothing is missing. Your nervous system is simply adjusting to a life that no longer requires constant survival. Healing means learning that you don’t have to earn love through suffering, prove your worth through struggle, or stay alert just because something good is happening. You may even feel tempted to recreate the very chaos you’re trying to escape because it’s familiar. This is why inner peace also requires patience. You have to learn how to sit with calmness without searching for a problem to solve. Don’t confuse unfamiliar peace with an absence of passion. A healthy life doesn’t have to be emotionally exhausting to be meaningful. Sometimes the greatest sign of growth is realizing that you no longer need chaos to feel alive. You are allowed to experience a life where your heart can finally rest.

November’s birth flower, the chrysanthemum, symbolises friendship and ‘cheerfulness in adversity’ in the Victorian language of flowers. According to folklore, wearing one protects against divine wrath, while chrysanthemums grown in the garden are said to keep evil spirits at bay.

The Gardener by Mary Oliver Have I lived enough? Have I loved enough? Have I considered Right Action enough, have I come to any conclusions? Have I experienced happiness with sufficient gratitude? Have I endured loneliness with grace? I say this, or perhaps I’m just thinking it. Actually, I probably think too much. Then I step out into the garden, where the gardener, who is said to be a simple man, is tending his children, the roses.

“Stop trying to change the world since it is only the mirror. Man’s attempt to change the world by force is as fruitless as breaking a mirror in the hope of changing his face. Leave the mirror and change your face. Leave the world alone and change your conceptions of yourself. The reflection then will be satisfactory.” ― Neville Goddard, Your Faith is Your Fortune.

Via Pyramid Consciousness Most people try to fix the outside first. A chaotic environment, difficult people, a life that feels like it is constantly working against them, and the instinct is always to rearrange the external circumstances until things finally feel calm. The esoteric traditions suggest this gets the order of operations backwards. The world you perceive is never neutral. It arrives filtered through the state of the perceiver, which means a mind in turmoil experiences a turbulent world almost by necessity, not because the world is objectively hostile but because disorder inside finds disorder to reflect outside. This is not mysticism dressed up as wishful thinking. It describes something you have likely felt directly, the way the exact same circumstance can feel unbearable on one day and manageable on another, depending entirely on what state you walked into it carrying. This is the old principle of correspondence at work. As within, so without. The noise does not necessarily get quieter when you achieve internal stillness, your perception of it changes, and often the noise itself reorganizes in response, because less of your own chaos is being projected onto it. People, situations, even timing seem to cooperate differently once the internal climate shifts. This is not an invitation to ignore real external problems. It is a reminder that the inner work usually has to come first, not as a reward for fixing the outer life, but as the actual condition that makes fixing it possible.
