David Shoebridge asks Don Farrell if he’s aware the Sumud Flotilla was trying to provide aid to starving Palestinians.
Farrell rambles, starts talking about a book he read on Hitler’s “shocking treatment of the Jews”
Shoebridge “Minister I’ll draw you back to my question…” 🙄

“Was 94% of multiculturalism grants go to Labor seats?”
Do they provide English / basic grammar classes in parliament? She needs some serious tutoring.
30 years and this is her first Estimates appearance, total rookie.

Pauline Hanson incoherently demands her claim that 94% of multicultural grants went to Labor seats be validated—then completely self-destructs when asked for a source.
Watt: “I’m not sure where those figures came from. Have you calculated that yourself?” 🤣 Trainwreck.

When public servants give evidence in a public hearing, about jobs that the public pays them to do, their answers should be direct, unambiguous, and detailed. That is the contract between the public and government. Any suggestion otherwise goes against that agreement.

David Shoebridge was the only Senator in the room who had questions for Segal, in fact he could have kept asking but ran out of time.
Nobody else had anything to ask the Special envoy, who was once again logged in from home.
"Senator...I...I....I...I....."
Lied to the Royal Commission?
For how long are we expected to sit back and watch our hard-earned taxpayer dollars get funneled directly into the pockets of this person?
No more excuses, no more delays—sack her NOW!

Is Australia aware that the king stated that Harry and Meghan are not working Royals and they don’t represent Royal Family King said they’re now private citizens so I hope @masterchefau realise they can’t be referred to as Royal
A very interesting point and glad someone is calling out #MeghanMarkleisaLiar
It discusses how Meghan being caught out in her timeline and the sudden claim that she had "no contemporaneous record" to refer to. Yet for years, reports have detailed how Meghan has kept notes.
In fact, she famously told The Cut in 2022 that she had packed up her remaining belongings at Frogmore Cottage during a brief return for Queen Elizabeth II's Platinum Jubilee.
She openly recounted opening drawers and rediscovering a private journal she had kept while living behind palace walls as a senior working royal which she was between May 2018 and March 2020.
Yet she didnt write down something as serious as her father being accused of abusing a child?
Or the police contacting her about something so serious?
It seems when it suits the narrative, Meghan has receipts.
But the moment police records expose a timeline blunder, she's suddenly an innocent bystander forced to rely on cloudy memories.
That simply doesn't wash.

Royal scandal? None of the people you mentioned are royals. Megan isn't a royal either.

Oh, please. We're now supposed to rewrite eight years of public scrutiny as a decade-long conspiracy to conceal the truth? Meghan has had a global platform, a media operation and numerous opportunities to tell her own story. She has also repeatedly chosen which subjects to speak about and which to leave alone. If she received information in 2019, was advised an investigation was underway and chose not to discuss it publicly, that is a separate matter from whether the British media treated her fairly. But let's not confuse media criticism with responsibility for unanswered questions. Nobody is suggesting she should have jeopardised an investigation. The questions are about what she did privately, whether she followed up and why it apparently took until 2025 to confront her father. You cannot spend years demanding accountability from everyone else, declare that silence is complicity, and then claim that asking you questions is persecution.

Australia produces far more beef than we can eat. Why would we buy anyone's beef? And then there's the growth hormones fed to cattle in the US that we dont want.

Lutnick just explained beef tariffs with crop seeds. That’s not trade policy......that’s a man who got lost on the way to the farm and decided to negotiate with the livestock.
Europe’s not blocking the meat. They’re blocking the guy who thinks cows grow from seed packets.

Spare me the “deeply saddened” routine over Helen Haines. Just last week in #qt, your colleague Angie Bell was literally calling for our decent PM to be stoned. Talk about inciting violence; you lot are fueling the exact fire you're pretending to put out. #auspol
I am deeply saddened and distressed by the news out of Wangaratta tonight involving Dr Helen Haines MP.
I’m praying for Helen and thinking of her family and loved ones.
This is a shocking day for our nation.
No one should be targeted in this way.
Australians will be angry and appalled by the attack on Helen outside her electorate office in Wangaratta.
Our nation cannot become a place where violent attacks are normalised.
I’ve spoken with the Prime Minister, and we are united in our view that political violence must never be accepted as part of public life.
I hope Helen, her family and her community across north-east Victoria know that Australians right across the country are thinking of them and holding them in their thoughts during this incredibly difficult time.

Disgusting that politicians demand to be kept safe when they do nothing, NOTHING about the safety of women, one of whom is murdered EVERY WEEK.

On what planet is Albanese responsible for the deranged actions of the alleged culprit who has a long history of mental illness?
This isn’t journalism; it’s a calculated personal attack on Albanese. Shameful

So here we have Credlin opining negatively about Albanese's alleged dirt file on Haines, and here we have a pic of Credlin carrying around a dirt file on Gillard when she was Abbott's COS. Hypocrite. #auspol
