Why Your Novel’s Cover Art is Even More Important Than Ever! "[These] covers work so well not only because the covers are so well designed and eye-catching but also—and arguably more importantly—they stand out as thumbnails." bit.ly/3OsDNIY @JaxMiddleton @Jenthulhu

Almost exactly 7 months to the day after I captured the first image in my new Seasons of #Pittsburgh set, I captured the final one. This morning the trees on the North Shore were finally in bloom and lit up beautifully just after sunrise. Really happy with how the set came out.

Octopuses punch fishes. YES. OCTOPUSES. PUNCH. FISHES!!
Our new paper is out on @ESAEcology, showing that octos express this behavior during collaborative hunting with other fishes. This was probably the most fun I had writing a paper. Ever! (small 🧵)

Again, @Jenthulhu foresaw this somehow. I know it
Scientists have discovered that, on occasions, an octopus will “punch” a fish for no reason other than “spite”

Stories like these often miss an important point. If you're in a marginalized group, Trump is a personal danger. For many people of color, gay or trans folks, immigrants — or people who love those folks — Trump is an existential threat.
Supporting him threatens your loved ones.
Over the last few years, American families have been torn apart by differing opinions on Trump- and many people don’t think the rifts can be mended. Here are a few of their stories. W/ @ByTimReid & @michaelvmartina @Reuters

Hi, I'm a northern pudú, AKA the smallest deer in the world
I max out at about 17"/44 cm in height. I'd have to reach up to lick your knee

@Jenthulhu I'm reading, "Vengeance," and I have no idea why I'm delighted by reading what Hain is doing and seeing the word "telomeres." Might I find "apoptosis" as well? (squeeeee🤣🤣).
Going back to the book! This has been a fantastic ride, thank you so much for your work.

If you're a creator and presenting stories with a diverse cast, that's not a big accomplishment. That should be part of your starting point.

Plz, no more references to weight as COVID risk factor; you are causing increased general health risk by upping weight stigma & anxiety. Don't be that person. If there is a COVID/weight link, remember weight is a proxy for many confounders: stigma, class, race, comorbidities...
