1/ Been working on a tool to help people find money they left in old protocols. Most from 2021-2022.
I HIGHLY recommend if you were around in the early days of Solana and did any NFT bidding, used defi protocols, it is worth looking your wallet up. It is quick & fast.

Orange pilled my mate down the pub last night.
Honestly, it’s so simple once you explain it properly.
I told him Bitcoin is just money you hold yourself.
He liked that. Then he asked how you hold it.
So I explained you buy a hardware wallet, but obviously not that one, and not that one either.
Then I said don’t trust its randomness, you’ll want to generate your own entropy with dice.
He said “like Monopoly dice?”
Bless him.
No, mate. Casino-grade precision dice, and verify they’re fair first, because a biased die is a biased seed.
Then I said roll it 99 times.
He asked why not fewer.
I explained that anything less than 99 rolls gives you less entropy, and while 50 rolls and 12 words is technically unbreakable by every computer that will ever exist, we don’t do technically round here. We do 256 bits.
He asked what a bit was. I told him not to worry about it.
Then I explained you do this in a room with no phone, no smart speaker, no camera, ideally soundproofed, because the acoustics of a dice roll and your keystrokes are a side channel.
He’d gone quiet by then, so I gave him a minute.
Then I said you’ll want 3 seeds, not 1, because single points of failure are what wiped out 500 people last week. So that’s 297 dice rolls.
Then multisig, 2-of-3, and you’ll need to back up the descriptor as well as the words, because 3 seeds alone won’t rebuild the wallet, and yes, that’s a fourth thing to lose.
Then I said store the 3 backups in 3 separate locations, because if a burglar or a house fire gets two, you’ve achieved nothing.
He asked where.
I said somewhere fireproof, ideally stamped in steel, definitely not the loft.
Then I mentioned the Faraday bag.
And the airgap.
And that you sign transactions by waving QR codes at a Raspberry Pi you built yourself.
And that you should rehearse the whole thing on a parallel test network with fake coins first, obviously.
He asked what happens if he gets it wrong.
I said you lose everything forever, and nobody is coming to help you.
Anyway, that’s another one onboarded. 💪

Australia was handed one of the greatest starting positions of any country in history
Massive mineral wealth. Abundant energy. World-class beaches. Amazing climate. No fault lines... no earthquakes or tsunamis
If you gave a 12-year-old this setup in a civilisation-building game, they'd build a paradise
Instead, we got decades of useless politicians on both sides of the aisle who couldn't run a sausage sizzle at Bunnings without a $4 billion feasibility study and a royal commission
Australia isn't unlucky. It's grossly mismanaged

So here’s the issue you get influencers like this guy have a quarter million followers and they claim they don’t know why it is declining… it’s because they don’t understand basic mechanics of price discovery.
They don’t understand that the marginal buyers or the float determines price they think the onchain bitcoin is that is the price discovery
Well, it was once upon a time but now..
Once you can synthetically manufacture the supply, the asset is no longer scarce and once scarcity is gone, price becomes a derivatives game, not a supply-and-demand market.
This is exactly what has happened to Bitcoin.
This is the same structural break that occurred in gold, silver, oil, and eventually equities once they became derivatives-dominated.
The original premise that no longer exists
Bitcoin’s entire valuation logic was built on finite supply (21M) and inability to be rehypothecated.
That died the moment:
•Cash-settled futures
•Perpetual swaps
•Options
•ETFs
•Prime broker lending
•Wrapped BTC
•Total return swaps
were layered on top of the chain.
From that moment forward:
Bitcoin supply became theoretically infinite.
Not on-chain in price discovery.
The metric that explains the collapse
Synthetic Float Ratio (SFR)
Once you can synthetically manufacture the supply, the asset is no longer scarce — and once scarcity is gone, price becomes a derivatives game, not a supply-and-demand market.
That is exactly what has happened to Bitcoin.
This is the same structural break that occurred in gold, silver, oil, and eventually equities once they became derivatives-dominated.
Why Wall Street can now “trade against” Bitcoin
They do exactly what they’ve done in every commodity market:
1.Create unlimited paper BTC
2.Short into rallies
3.Force liquidations
4.Cover lower
5.Repeat
They are not “betting” — they are manufacturing inventory.
The same 1 BTC can now support:
•An ETF unit
•A futures contract
•A perpetual swap
•An options delta
•A broker loan
•A structured note
All at once.
That is six claims on one coin.
That is not a market.
That is a fractional reserve price system.

The Overton Window has been smashed.
If everything is now legal[1], many startups will try raising funds by issuing tokens as explicit cryptoequity.
As context, the SEC distorted the market for the last decade by forcing founders to obscure the obvious analogy between tokens and equity.
But there is nothing *morally* wrong with moving equity from spreadsheets and NASDAQs to blockchains.
Indeed, from a *technical* perspective it’s far better to represent equities onchain. You can hold them in a wallet, price them with an API call, and track them on an explorer. You can also easily issue dividends, execute buybacks, and manage vesting schedules.
And from a *financial* perspective, there is no contest between the global market of crypto investors and the local market of any given city.
But that shouldn’t mean short-term behavior. Founders can (and should) implement lockups, drag along, cosale rights, and the like. All these conventions align long-term interests of investors and founders.
You could get there by using AI to translate a typical Series A package into a set of smart contracts. And exchanges should step up to help retail by clearly identifying assets that implement long-term, value-aligning lockups.
At least, that’s the responsible game plan for using new technology to fund actual companies. I hope we use our powers responsibly, and will fund projects in this space as we gain more legal clarity.
But we may *finally* enter the long-overdue age of the cryptoequity.
[1]: Obviously this is a rhetorical overstatement. It’s not literally the Purge. But as with the uncensoring of X, there is an enormous range of new things that is now apparently permissible to do — some good and some bad. And a risk-tolerant community will surge into that space to explore what’s possible.
This is one of the downsides of regulating by enforcement. All the SEC did was shoot at good people rather than make good rules. Perhaps the moment was simply beyond their capabilities, and the regulation will de facto fall to the crypto exchanges.
In other words: we don’t yet have rule-of-law. All we have is rule-of-code. And that may be how it lands up.

Working on Solana has been nothing short of amazing. The culture behind the scenes is probably the most impressive part. There isn't a person in the solana ecosystem who refused to talk to me. From the community, to builders, to the Foundation, it really is a awesome experience.
working on Solana, you get to:
- develop the frontier of high-scale, low-latency distributed systems in adversarial environments
- scale crypto and blockchain holistically, from first principles
- build and accelerate the world’s financial computer
- increase the economic potential of the world
- update the financial system
