We masked in oncology for decades … until now. Because we’ve gone backwards in infection control. Imagine being able to do all of the things we can do to treat cancer and piss it away like this.

People who resist public health measures during a deadly pandemic are not heroes. Goons who threaten healthcare workers and people who wear masks are not freedom fighters. The terrorists who occupied Ottawa in Feb. 2022 & threatened to overthrow the gov't were not patriots.

They are training you. They are training you to not give AF about others. They are training you to “other” an incredibly nebulous and ever-expanding group of people called “the vulnerable” & crafting their communication so that you believe that you will never be in THAT group.

Carbon pricing is *supposed* to make things more expensive.
We’re *supposed* to be making the connection between our conspicuous consumption and climate change.
We’re *supposed* to feel a little pain.

They absolutely do.

Conservativism has become nothing but an extremely dangerous and expensive philosophy.
If your political ideology demands you ignore or deny reality, it's a cult.
Also, if you don't want to be part of the solution, you are the problem.

Really sad that one of the lessons of this pandemic for me has been to be skeptical of official stories. "We don't want the public to panic" has become justification for "We don't want the public to know" and "We don't want to spend the money to deal with this."
