I still support Trump. I still support JD Vance. I still support Marco Rubio. And I still support Pete Hegseth, too.

Notice the headline says "House Republicans," not "Thomas Massie." That's his job. He gives the progressives bipartisan cover they could never buy themselves. He's a pet on a leash. So are all of his supporters.
🚨 #BREAKING: House Republicans introduce several articles of impeachment against Secretary of War Pete Hegseth.

Couldn’t be bothered to impeach any Biden or Obama cabinet members but made sure to join the pile on for Trumps cabinet. What an absolute faggot of the highest order.
🚨 BREAKING: Rep. Thomas Massie announces he will BRING A VOTE to IMPEACH SecWar Pete Hegseth next week unless he resigns "There is one contingency in which I won’t reintroduce the articles of impeachment: Hegseth resigns." This ACTUALLY going anywhere requires 67 US Senators after the House vote. The new Democrat landslide majority is not seated until January 2027 More USELESS BS.

Yeah. Let’s listen to the lame duck who wants to get rid one of the three people in the cabinet needed to keep the country from falling into the hands of doctrinaire Marxists. … You know, that group the Libertarians are supposed to be intractably fighting
If Trump’s going to replace appointees like Hegseth, he should do it while he can still get the replacements confirmed in the Senate. Also, my Hegseth impeachment resolution is a much gentler version of what’s coming when Dem’s control Congress. They’ll have hearings & trials.

Maybe it's hopium, maybe I'm delusional, but there's a way in which all of this was necessary to lead to the country being ready to elect a libertarian like @RepThomasMassie in 2028. The country wasn't ready in 2008 or 2012, but since Ron Paul couldn't break through, the entire Trump saga needed to happen in order for the next libertarian to have a chance, and it seems like it all had to happen this way. Trump was the only person who could break through the establishment barriers in 2016. His victory brought politics to the forefront and shook everyone out of their comfort zone. That had to happen. The left also needed to lose their minds and go full woke so that everyone else could really see it for what it is. If Trump loses in 2016, we stay under the grip of the establishment. He needed to lose in 2020 so that the Democrats could be exposed and so that, for once, a Democrat got caught holding the bag when the consequences of reckless fiscal policy reared their head. It needed to be clear that the Democrats don't have the answers, and that they're nothing without a slick salesman like Obama as the figurehead. Trump also needed to lose in 2020 in order to form the coalition that he did in 2024. If Trump had won in 2020, he would've taken the fall for the inflation, and the Democrats would have had all of the momentum going into 2024. They might've even found themselves a decent candidate. Trump had to win again in 2024. He wasn't going to go away until he died or served two terms, and the repudiation of the woke madness that gripped the country since 2016 had to happen. His coalition victory also removed the taboo around him that had existed since 2015. America needed to get comfortable with going outside of the establishment and not playing by the Democrats' rules. If Trump had lost in 2024, he'd still have a grip on the party in 2028, would probably run again, and we'd still be dealing with escalating woke and climate insanity. Trump also had to completely bitch out on every promise he made in his 2024 campaign. He has neither the knowledge nor the will to actually drain the swamp and fix the economy. If he actually tried to fix the economy, either A) it would look like it was working, which would set the table for Vance to take the White House in 2028 with little resistance, or B) it would clearly not be working, and the left would be able to point to this administration as evidence that fiscal conservatism doesn't work. The only way the door could open for @MassieforKY was for the current administration to be tarnished. It's even a bonus in how Trump destroyed his presidency: corruption, Epstein, and Iran. Massie can stand in opposition to all of that, and the war with Iran has also been a disaster in a way that none of the other terror wars were in terms of public perception. There are people that still think Iraq had WMDs, and people are generally unaware of the other theaters. The fact that they did such a lazy job selling Iran and that it was so easy to tie back to economic hardship b/c of the Hormuz debacle, now very clearly associates war with cost in the American mind. It's also possible that Massie needed to be primaried. This one I'm less sure of, but what it does do is give him nothing to lose. He doesn't have to worry about losing his seat in 2028, and he doesn't have anything else to distract him. He can go balls to the wall. He can also point to his loss as evidence of the power of the so-called Israel lobby. People also needed to become more aware of Israeli influence over American politics b/c it will now be more difficult for them to covertly undermine Massie. The Republicans also needed to be soundly defeated last night. A) In order for Massie to rise, MAGA needed to be as resoundingly rejected by the American voters as the neocons. MAGA needed to have stink on it with the GOP base. B) In order for another Republican to have a chance at the presidency in the general in 2028, the American public needed to be reminded of how insane the Democrats are. They need to make a return as the primary threat. Again, maybe this is just hopium--and I still wouldn't give Massie better than 20% odds of winning the primary--but it really does look like the stars are aligning for America to finally take a much-needed turn toward libertarianism in 2028. The table is set. Will Thomas Massie step up?

Fuck all the panicans
🚨 BREAKING: President Trump agrees with JD Vance that Republicans lost the midterms because of the Iran war driving up oil prices, but he'd do it again and it was worth it "I think it's largely true because it drove the gasoline up...but at the same time if I had it to do again, I'd have to do it again, because long-term, it's the only answer. You can't let Iran have a nuclear weapon." Oil has been dropping and will keep going down when Iran ends He says he has FULL VETO POWER in the event Democrats want to be destructive and pass crappy legislation come January 2027
