This week, I authored the Things Worth Remembering column with the @TheFP.
Today, too many Americans fear the promise of America is fading away, but the whole point of the experiment is that the people always have the power to chart our own future.
As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, I look back to Calvin Coolidge’s speech on the nation’s 150th. His words give voice to the enduring belief my parents instilled in my siblings and me: that the promises in the Declaration of Independence are final for all Americans.
