I don’t remember seeing you in the front office, but 1998 you say? 👇🏻👇🏻🤣🤣

horse shit. Mark Davis had trademarked 'Las Vegas Raiders' in 1998. He never engaged honestly with the city and had planned on this move for YEARS. Warriors also financed entirely privately , theyre not remotely the type of example to pull here to crap on Oakland
For those who are still pissing & moaning 6 years later over the Raiders leaving Oakland…. please read 👇🏻

I was in the building during those negotiations, so I know firsthand what actually transpired.
The City of Oakland wanted to use a developer the NFL refused to approve. That same developer expected a 25% ownership stake in the Raiders without contributing a single dollar of capital to the project. Let that sink in.
We had architectural renderings and plans to build a new stadium on the existing Coliseum site. In fact, it was our preferred location because of the existing infrastructure and ingress/egress advantages. All we asked was for the city and county to help fund the necessary infrastructure improvements.
As a last resort, we even offered John Fisher an ownership stake in the Raiders to help get a deal across the finish line. He declined.
We subsequently purchased land in Carson, contingent upon NFL approval, but the Rams’ relocation to Los Angeles effectively eliminated that option.
Las Vegas became a legitimate opportunity largely because of Napoleon McCallum’s longstanding relationship with Sheldon Adelson. Adelson also wanted a significant ownership stake in exchange for his financial involvement. Ultimately, negotiations broke down over ownership, and the Raiders moved forward without having to give or sell him a stake in the team.
Now, here’s where the irony becomes absolutely fucking spectacular.
Ray is a fucking dumbshit, and there’s a reason the Warriors packed their bags and left Oakland.
The City of Oakland repeatedly undermined opportunities to retain its professional sports franchises while protecting the interests of John Fisher, the same asshole who stood in the way of the Warriors building an arena in Oakland and the Raiders developing a new stadium at the Coliseum.
And what did Oakland get for its loyalty?
The Warriors left, The Raiders left, & Fisher, the very guy Oakland had been politically and financially cozying up to, ultimately took the Athletics to Las Vegas for a better opportunity.
Three professional franchises gone, and the one ownership group Oakland bent over backward to accommodate delivered the final kick in the teeth.
You genuinely couldn’t write a better story about political incompetence, misplaced loyalty, and the consequences of spectacularly shitty leadership.
Oakland didn’t just lose three teams. Its leadership helped create the very circumstances that drove them away.
This is how the grift starts & works:
Accuse your enemies of wrongdoing so when you do it, you can excuse it by saying “well they did it too”…..
Full time career, parent, cook, money manager, launderer, dishwasher, maid, taxi, landscaper, pool cleaner….✌🏻
Both of my grandfathers were WWII officers. One fought in North Africa, stormed Omaha Beach, and helped liberate German concentration camps and Europe. The other flew in the skies over the Pacific.
Two of uncles served as Army captains in Vietnam, and my brother served as an officer in Desert Shield, Desert Storm, Somalia, Haiti, Iraq, and other conflicts I am not at liberty to speak of….
Not once did I ever hear them weaponize their service to belittle fellow Americans, silence political disagreement, or demand respect for opinions they couldn’t defend with reason.
So here’s a reality check for those who confuse military service with moral superiority:
Your service deserves respect. Your sacrifice deserves gratitude. Your EGO deserves neither….
You swore an oath to the Constitution, not a political party, a cult of personality, or your own inflated sense of importance.
You may have defended freedom overseas, but that doesn’t give you the right to demand ideological obedience at home.
Your DD-214 isn’t a permission slip to be an asshole. Your medals aren’t debate trophies, and patriotism isn’t your personal property.
If your argument requires reminding everyone you served, perhaps your argument isn’t nearly as strong as your ego….
The uniform represents honor, discipline, humility, and integrity. Those principles don’t magically become optional when you take it off.
I was taught that virtue is demonstrated through character, and not advertised through past accomplishments.
Military service may establish what you’ve sacrificed for your country. It does not automatically establish the quality of your character today.
And if you use that service to demean the very Americans whose freedoms you swore to defend, you’re not demonstrating patriotism. You’re demonstrating how little you understand the principles behind your oath.
Respect the uniform. Honor the sacrifice. But never mistake a decorated résumé for an honorable character.
Your service deserves gratitude. Your contempt deserves none✌🏻
God Bless America & F*ck Politics🙏🏻
