As noted in the @BostonGlobe, COVID is back! And it's not what it used to be!
To ID doctors, neither statement is particularly surprising. But why is this happening?

« Amazingly, it is widely considered acceptable for medical researchers to be ignorant of statistics. Many are not ashamed (and some seem proud) to admit that they don't know anything about statistics. »

In double-blind ISLEND-1, the rates of adverse events were:
13% for ISL/LEN
13% for B/F/TAF

In open-label ISLEND-2, the rates of adverse events were:
18% for ISL/LEN
<1% for SOC

In the VOGUE trial comparing DTG/3TC and B/F/TAF in naïve PWH
The NI is demonstrated despite twice more VF in DTG/3TC (16/254) than in B/F/TAF (8/255)
That s a Relative Risk of 2️⃣
And nobody seem to 👀 it

I do not understand why the upper bound of the btw group difference is infinite.
Given your one-sided 5% hypothesis, this might be a 90% CI with 2 bounds. Otherwise it is not an interval?
Check out this thread on Vera Health. Interesting answer. Your thoughts?
