How far can a base runner veer from the base path to avoid a tag? He just got into the turf there off the dirt but obviously not an issue.

The #Seahawks are set to receive a 3rd-round pick for losing Nolan Teasley, who became the #Vikings’ GM.
That gives Seattle an extra 3rd-rounder, so giving up a 3rd for Quenton Nelson is a bit easier.
They’re also expected to receive four compensatory picks in the 2027 draft for losing Kenneth Walker, Tariq Woolen, Kobe Bryant, and Boye Mafe in free agency.
Seattle might not be done. They are loaded with picks.
