I’m still riding the high from today. The Tulsa Oilers Jewish Heritage Game was incredible. It was one of those rare moments that makes you feel like you’re watching the American promise actually happen in real time. Because what happened in that arena was simple, and it was enormous. We lived openly and proudly as Jews. In public. In our city. With joy. With confidence. With thousands of our neighbors cheering alongside us. There are moments lately when Jews are reminded, sometimes subtly, sometimes not, that we’re “supposed” to keep it down. Don’t be too visible. Don’t be too proud. Don’t ask for too much. Today was the opposite of that. Today was: we’re here. Today was: we belong. Today was: we’re proud. I looked around that arena and felt my chest tighten from emotion. That blue jersey with the Magen David. And we didn’t just have a fun night, we made history. This is the first time Jewish Heritage Game jerseys have been worn in a professional sports game. Think about that. In Tulsa. In 2026. With a packed arena. With our neighbors joining in. With Jewish pride celebrated. And what moved me most was this. It wasn’t only Jews wearing it. So many of our non-Jewish neighbors wore it too. If you’re Jewish, you know that’s not just “nice.” That’s deeply meaningful. The Magen David carries memory. It carries history. It carries everything our people have walked through. To see it worn proudly, by people who simply wanted to say, “We’re with you. You belong here,” was a kind of decency that restores your faith in people. That’s Tulsa. And it’s also America at its best. A country where you don’t have to erase yourself to belong, where identity isn’t a liability, where you can be fully who you are and still be fully part of the “we.” I’m proud of Jewish Tulsa. Proud of how our community showed up, joyful, confident, unafraid to celebrate who we are. And I’m proud of this city. Proud of the Tulsa Oilers organization for doing this with excellence and heart. Proud of Tulsa for showing up and making it real. Our identity is something we receive, carry, and hand to our kids stronger than we found it. Today that felt real and tangible. So yes, the game was incredible. But what I’ll remember is the feeling. Proud to be Jews. Proud to be Americans. Proud to be Tulsans. A huge thank you to Michael A. Sachs for the vision and heart that went into making this possible. Yasher Koach brother! And a heartfelt thank you to the Tulsa Oilers Hockey club for helping Jewish Tulsa celebrate this community and our city.

Watching my 5 year old son begin to learn jiu-jitsu has made me think about fatherhood, Jewish identity, and how to raise children who inherit our courage without inheriting our fears in ways I didn’t expect. I wrote about what the mats are teaching me, and what I’m learning from my little guy. (Link in replies👇)

There has rarely been a day in the past six months that I have not received a call, email, or social media message from a Jewish Canadian telling their story of how antisemitism has targeted them and made them feel like they have no future in Canada. The calls come from all across Canada and all of them ask for help coming to Tulsa. It’s heart wrenching. There are a lot of good people using their voices to call for an expedited humanitarian pathway. It can’t happen soon enough. We’re ready to help them make Tulsa home.
Tonight a group of 50 Canadian Jews arrived in Tulsa to see about living in the heartland of America. They come from all different walks of life and all different parts of Canada. Their stories of the antisemitism each have experienced is harrowing but there is a sliver of hope. This weeks Torah portion is Lech Lecha which means “Go forth”. THIS IS NOT A COINCIDENCE, THIS WAS MEANT TO BE. Each of these families has made the difficult decision that their only option is to go forth. It is not an easy decision and the process is even harder but one thing is clear… they appreciate those who are trying to help. They appreciate those who hear their calls for assistance and they dream of life in America. There is hope in their eyes at a time when they had thought all hope was gone. The Canadian government has failed them but in Tulsa they are seen, they are heard and they are valued. These (and thousands of others) are the people that @SamuelBrownback, @jasonrapert, @ChristLawmakers, @SenRickScott and @GovStitt are asking @POTUS to help. They need us and we shouldn’t let them down.

A few years ago, I never imagined my family would leave our home in Canada for Tulsa, Oklahoma or that our story would become part of a national conversation about whether Canadian Jews are actively trying to leave the country. But here we are. This question is real for many.

The terror attack against the Sons of Jacob Synagogue in Belleville on the eve of Yom Kippur marks a further escalation of the antisemitism crisis in Canada. Our thoughts are with the police officer who acted with remarkable courage and was wounded in the line of duty. We pray for his full and speedy recovery. Israel stands in solidarity with Canada’s Jewish community, which faces an increasingly threatening reality. Open incitement that goes unaddressed in the public sphere, along with anti-Israel policies, is fueling antisemitism. A change is needed.

When those in power offer words instead of action, this is the result. Absolutely heartsick. Praying for that brave officer and everyone who lives openly Jewish lives with this fear hanging over their heads. torontosun.com/opinion/colum…

Interesting story! Yesterday we went to a staff fun day of go-karting. When we arrived we saw an interesting sight, on the large flag pole there were two flags 🇺🇸 🇮🇱. I asked if they put it up because we came and the manager said, “No sir, that flag is always up and it ain’t coming down.” I proceeded to thank him for their support and he told me that it was an “expensive” flag. A few people have said they won’t rent if the flag is up but the owner responded with “There is the door”. Alf Gebhardt is the owner, he was born in Germany in 1941. He was a BMW World Sportscar Driver who is now retired. I had the pleasure to shake his hand and thank him… be like Alf.

It’s interesting that there is global panic over the word “hasbara,” which literally just translates to “explanation,” but seemingly little concern over the totalitarian Iranian state’s branding of the fanatical mandate to create and disseminate propaganda.
We're publishing our most detailed threat intelligence report to date. It covers how people tried to misuse Claude—for cyberattacks, influence operations, surveillance, biology, and building weapons—and how we found and stopped them. We disrupted every operation in the report, and used the lessons from them to strengthen our safeguards. Where appropriate, we also shared what we found with authorities and other AI companies. These cases are not typical: we’re highlighting some of the most sophisticated misuse we’ve seen. But they’re especially important to discuss, because they show us where AI misuse is headed, where our safeguards work, and where they need to improve. We’re publishing this report so others can spot the same activity on their own platforms, and so we can give the public a clearer view of how emerging threats develop. Remember when all the top tech minds told us that at exactly midnight on 01/01/2000 the planes would fall from the sky, the power grid would shutdown, and we’d all be plunged into the dark ages? Are we sure this isn’t just that again?

I resigned from Anthropic today. I spent the last three years doing pretraining research at both OpenAI and Anthropic. Neither company is acting responsibly. They are racing straight to self-improving superintelligence and gambling with our lives. More thoughts below.

⚡ Representatives @RepJoshG and @RepStefanik are launching the bipartisan Combating Antisemitism on College Campuses Caucus, which will: — Serve as a bipartisan forum for Members of Congress to coordinate oversight of how colleges and universities respond to antisemitism. — Press institutions to protect Jewish students, faculty, and staff, and to enforce their own anti-harassment and anti-discrimination policies. — Advance and track federal legislation targeting campus antisemitism and BDS-driven discrimination, including the Antisemitism Awareness Act, the HEAL Act, and the newly House-passed Protect Economic and Academic Freedom Act. — Spotlight schools that are getting it right and share best practices across campuses nationwide.

“Canada will one day again chart its own course: restoring a bilateral relationship with Israel built on mutual respect and mutual benefit, the kind that once made Canada a trusted and credible voice in the region. Today, we’re very far from that.” Liberals issue a trade ban with no law cited and no standard set, announced on the eve of the Jewish High Holidays and New Year, Rosh Hashanah. They rewarded the ancient hate with a terror state, on the eve of the last Rosh Hashanah. This is not diplomacy. It is appeasement.
There was a real choice: build foreign policy around what actually serves Canada, or cave again to the loudest, most fringe voices. This government chose the latter and Canadians are the ones left holding the bag. Synagogues, Jewish schools, and Jewish-owned businesses are already under threat, with security heightened nationwide as the holiest days of the year approach. Yet this is the moment the government chose to double down on a double standard, one that has emboldened three years of violence on our own streets. Nowhere in these one-sided declarations is there any demand that the Palestinian Authority deliver on what it promised Prime Minister Carney. The pressure simply evaporates, and it's the Palestinian people, their economy, and Canadian workers who will pay the price. A stronger economy, eradicating hatred in our own neighborhoods, and real progress toward peace is the leadership Canada should offer, not the careless, one-sided moves that set back all three at once. Canada will one day again chart its own course: restoring a bilateral relationship with Israel built on mutual respect and mutual benefit, the kind that once made Canada a trusted and credible voice in the region. Today, we’re very far from that. Cc: @AHousefather @vgasparro @lesliechurch @AnitaAnandMP
