Many people are not asking why Ethiopia is being drawn into a full-blown civil war when it has just become Africa’s fastest-growing economy.

Speaking English is not the problem. Forgetting and not speaking our indigenous languages is. Africa can embrace English while still preserving, teaching, and promoting its own languages.

This isn't just a story, but a reality of Africa. We need to decolonize our minds and build our continent.
