Politico says they are "jumping the cordon" by deeming acceptable parts of ECR.

After the June elections, we warned that there is only one stable majority possible. That majority voted @vonderleyen in July. For the entire Commission, that majority was dropped today. Already the same evening, it becomes clear how unstable it is. A bad week for EU democracy.
This whole exercise has been deeply shameful. I have no words. And a horrible precedent for the Parliament as institution.
It's over: both Teresa Ribera and Raffaele Fitto receive the green-light from the European Parliament to be executive vice-presidents in the next European Commission.
EPP and Patriots have submitted a joint "minority opinion" to Ribera's mission letter, @gerardofortuna reports.
And the longer the #Ribera hearing goes, the worse it's getting.
This is deeply problematic for the credibility of the Parliament.
And again very well illustrates how right wing parties actively undermine democracy through polarization.

And great to see how he replies to the obsession for nuclear energy by some political groups.
Otherwise, no surprises. Sticks largely to mission letter.
