Philly is missing their starting QB, their two best receivers, and Saquon is clearly playing hurt. They haven’t had a TD on their opening drive all season. They just went 75 yards on 4 plays to go up 7-3 on the #DallasCowboys Not good. Not good at all @CBSSportsTexas @CBSNewsTexas

What an outrageous game lol. No Flagg, no Kyrie, but we got a doozie of a game between the Mavs and the Spurs right now. 92-89 San Antonio heading into the 4th quarter #MFFL @CBSNewsTexas @CBSSportsTexas

More unfortunate news for Mavs fans who will be in attendance. Kyrie Irving (injury management) is OUT. No Coop or Kyrie for the home opener. #MFFL @CBSSportsTexas

Per the Mavs, Cooper Flagg is OUT for tonight’s home opener vs the San Antonio Spurs. They’re calling it a mild left shoulder sprain, and that Flagg will be reevaluated in one week. #MFFL @CBSNewsTexas @CBSSportsTexas

This couldn’t be a more polar opposite performance by the Mavs. They were getting whooped by the Rockets by halftime, now THEY are doing the whooping. Leading by almost 30 points on the Pacers shooting 58% from the floor. @CBSSportsTexas

After an 0-2 start to the season, Desoto has looked like the #DesotoU team we’re accustomed to seeing. The Eagles are among the top contenders in Class 5A, but know there’s a long road ahead. Check out what they said when I visited them at their practice. @CBSSportsTexas @CBSNewsTexas cbsnews.com/texas/news/desot…

DeSoto football learned hard lesson from 0-2 start. Now the Eagles are having fun again

After opening with two losses, the defending Class 6A Division II state champions say a humbling start helped them rediscover the intensity, consistency, and joy that fueled last year's title run.

It’s Rivalry week. 👀 Cedar Hill is set to take on Desoto in the Battle of Belt Line, one of the biggest DFW high school football rivalries out there. I had the chance to speak with the Longhorns about what this historic matchup means to them. @CBSSportsTexas @CBSNewsTexas #txhsfb cbsnews.com/texas/news/cedar…

Cedar Hill's brotherhood fuels Longhorns ahead of rivalry showdown with DeSoto

Separated by just minutes along Belt Line Road, the Longhorns and Eagles share a rivalry built on pride, brotherhood, and tradition.

Defense gets a stop and Dallas' offense goes marching down the field. Javonte Williams gets his 7th rushing TD. Cowboys NEEDED that. 17-7 Packers #DallasCowboys @CBSSportsTexas

10 days since they last took the field, and the Cowboys look absolutely flat. Horrendous 1st half for both sides of the ball with little to build off of. #DallasCowboys @CBSSportsTexas

Well never mind.....Winters was donw by contact. Cowboys offense goes to work. #DallasCowboys @CBSSportsTexas

The good-ish news: Cowboys defense showing an aggressive approach on defense. The bad: Packers go 90 yards in 14 plays for the TD. Not a great start for the Cowboys defense. #DallasCowboys @CBSSportsTexas

Final: Oklahoma 27 Texas 24 Maybe not the prettiest, but it was no doubt an all-timer for this historic rivalry. @CBSSportsTexas

BIG response by the Texas offense. All tied up at 24. THIS IS what the Red River Rivalry is all about. @CBSSportsTexas

OU Pick-6. Sooners lead 24-17. Unbelievable....inconceivable. Press box (which is right on the OU side mind you) was shaking after the play. @CBSSportsTexas

OU blocks the punt and scoops it for a TD. It's going to be THAT kind of game isn't it? 7-7 to start the 2nd QTR. #OUvsTexas @CBSSportsTexas

After the 1st quarter: Texas 7 Oklahoma 0 Outside of Arch throwing a dime to Coleman for the opening score, neither offense has been playing efficient. Both teams 0-8 on 3rd down thus far. @CBSSportsTexas

Very next play from scrimmage, Arch throws a 41 yard TD pass to Cam Coleman. Lmao....got to love it man
Johnny Resendiz@JohnnyresendizzOct 10
8 minutes into this OU vs Texas games and both teams have: -A combined 15 total yards of offense. - not a single 3rd down converted. 5 straight 3-and-outs to start this game off. We knew it would be chippy, but so far this has been a dud by both offenses. #OUvsTexas @CBSSportsTexas
