There are *many* tests of fluid responsiveness but they aren't all the same, and some are truly bad. (ahem CVP) This ICU OnePager compares *ALL* the methods available for determining fluid responsiveness & fluid tolerance. #FOAMed #FOAMcc onepagericu.com/fluid-respon…

I’m surprised the domestic partner sensitivity isn’t higher and I wonder if part of it is that residents who are overworked are more likely to be burned out and are probably less likely to want to spend the few hours they are home talking about feeling burned out

Wow! These poll results are pretty impressive and may explain why burnout often goes undetected! Next up, question #2... @Boviethat @psyoo @CoppersmithMD @erinwhite_md @jonathanvacek @thebretttracy @mikejcarr @erinwhite_md @AmCollSurgeons @acsJACS

The best part of this is not having to take ABSITE again. Definitely recommend taking after PGY-4. Thank you @UofLDeptofSurg for your support and setting me up for success.

I think it is very hard to teach (and practice) cost-effective care in our current system. My mind immediately goes to a pan-scan for the elderly patient who fell from standing….

There is very little dedicated to this topic in resident training…which may be because little is also know by our instructors due to total lack of cost/charge transparency in our medical system #RASJACS
