FA CUP UPDATE
Following on from the FA Case today that led to the cancellation of last night’s replay, Kidsgrove Athletic have been removed from the competition and Abbey Hulton United will progress to play Sutton United FC away on Saturday 22nd August 2026.
We would like to make it clear this is not how we would want to progress and would much rather have seen it settled on the pitch, we consider everyone at Kidsgrove to be great rivals and friends on and off the pitch and wish them all the very best for the upcoming season.
Please can everyone also remember both clubs and indeed most clubs in steps 3 – 6 are run purely by volunteers who all have day jobs and their own lives to live, they give up so many hours to facilitate the games and without these volunteers there would be no non-league football.
Like Kidsgrove, we won’t be commenting further on the matter and will be focusing now on the FA Vase game on Saturday at Stafford Town and then we host Dudley Town in league action on Tuesday night at Drayton Beaumont Park.

🎨📸 | OPEN INVITATION TO LINNETS FANS
Over the past few months our photographer @PeterGHPhoto has been working on making an exhibition about our clubs history and the history of our predecessor club Runcorn FC.
Peters exhibition will be opening next week at the University of Chester Kingsway Campus, with a special preview event on Thursday the 18th from 6pm to 9pm that is open to all.
The exhibition is located in the photography area of the university’s degree show in the campus’ fine art studio”
