You’ve inspired me to conceive of a wizard’s notebook story. Maybe like Dear Mr. Henshaw but with some Skyrim flair.

I am in the midst of writing the second of two Regency fantasy romances. The first is in many ways quite typical...though it is a bit deeper, longer, and in come cases funnier than some, and it also has magic and mystery. The second one...is not like any romance I have ever read. But, oh, my! It is so much fun to write.

Eventually if you want to publish a book of literary fiction you'll just have to publish it yourself. Own everything. You can't fire yourself. You can quit on yourself, but that's a different thing.

Too many Conservative commentators loathe Art, stories, and fiction. Not all of them, but too many. "If you're not reading Plato," they seem to be saying, "you're wasting your time." Well fuck that. Art matters. Stories matter. CULTURE matters. And Conservatives have lost the Culture because they have total contempt for it.
A decade ago, the Online Right mocked libs for constantly relying on Harry Potter to describe political events. Now the Online Right can't stop talking about how they wish Draco Malfoy were a girl and dating them. How the hell did we get here?

I have officially reached the point where the number in my weight starts with a “1”. At the beginning of 2026, it started with a “3”. And not a low “3” either. Picture for comparison. Absolutely wild. Thank you all for the support. It keeps me going. Go Hawks!

Dr. @millermeeks is mainstream; Christina Bohannan is extreme. Miller-Meeks delivered historic middle-class tax cuts, the largest steel mill in American history, took on drug middlemen, and fought to lower healthcare costs and premiums. Bohannan voted to make it easier for sex offenders to get off the registry, voted to keep taxing retirement income, and backed groups pushing to defund the police and abolish prisons. Iowa’s 1st Congressional District deserves a doctor who delivers results—not a liberal politician pushing a radical agenda. That’s why Iowans will send Mariannette Miller-Meeks back to Congress. #IA01 iowagop.org/mariannette-mill…

Regardless of how the GOP does in the midterms, being rid of pieces of trash like this will be a distinct benefit
Outgoing RINO Senator @ThomTillis gleefully shows a Politico reporter the countdown clock on his phone for what he says is guaranteed Republican defeat in the upcoming midtermS: "This thing that's going to happen 20 days from now that I have on my countdown clock as whoop ass."

They would not have allowed France to sink so low to begin with; but the French people, unfortunately, deserve great blame for this; and unless they change, get back their work ethic, stop relying on the State and other peoples' money, actually work hard again instead of endlessly vacationing, then nothing in France will get better.

I know we all hate the idea of yet another remake/reboot of Lord of the Rings, particularly with the awesome job that Peter Jackson did. But hear me out ... I believe that there is ONE remake of LotR that we would all get behind ...
