And how do the widespread (changing) migration aspirations among young Nepalis affect their wellbeing, i.e. their happiness, relationships, and material wellbeing – and vice versa? We can imagine plenty of links between migration aspirations and wellbeing. (4/7)

This morning, I arrived back in one of my favourite parts of the world: Nepal. I'll be based here for the next 5 months for my PhD project DYNAMIGS. In a fantastic team @soscbaha we'll collect interviews & a 2-wave survey with young Nepalis in Kathmandu valley & Gorkha district🧵
We try to understand how their aspirations to migrate change over time & how these changes are linked to their wellbeing. In this process, we also explore what migration aspirations really are, how they connect to wider aspirations, & how we can grasp both better in research(2/7)
