JOSEYANG DAVID💥

Yesterday, we met residents of Dagoretti North and South during a Radio Citizen live show at the Dagoretti South Empowerment Centre. The session brought together local MCAs, NGCDF managers, and community leaders to discuss the state of service delivery in Nairobi. Residents voiced strong frustration over the Nairobi County Government’s failure to deliver basic services. Key concerns included continued garbage dumping in Kawangware, poorly equipped hospitals, unchecked licensing of liquor outlets, insecurity due to lack of street lighting, and plans to repossess private land along the Nairobi River without proper consultation. Listening to these concerns strengthened my resolve that Nairobi needs a manager, someone who understands what it takes to bring people together and deliver real solutions. I am ready to be that manager.

Last week, the President hosted 8,000 people from Murang’a at State House. The costs were staggering: breakfast @3,000 per person = KSh 24M, 200 buses @50,000 each = KSh 10M, and allowances @10,000 per person = KSh 80M. In total, KSh 120M was blown in a single day. Yet for the same KSh 120M, Murang’a could get 5 fully equipped health centres (@25–30M each), 50–60 boreholes (@2–3M each), 30 classroom blocks (@4–5M each), or 10–15 farmer processing plants (@7–12M each). That is the scale of development being sacrificed for one political event. Worse still, this is not just about Murang’a. Every week, counties are hosted at State House at similar or higher costs. Just this past Saturday, 10,000 teachers were invited, at an even more staggering bill! Meanwhile, the Auditor General has flagged billions at State House disguised as “printing costs,” which is where this loot is being buried. So let me ask: with such careless spending, when will Kenya ever become like Singapore? Where will the President find the moral authority to fight corruption when State House itself is stealing public resources in plain sight? This regime is beyond help!

The short break is over and government bloggers have been recalled back to work. Welcome home Jamba! Form ni WANTAM!

Sundays are for slowing down, reconnecting, and giving thanks. No matter what this past week looked like, may today be your reminder that new strength, new joy, and new hope are around the corner. Wishing you peace, rest, and a heart full of gratitude this Sunday. #MastaWaNai

Today I met with HE @skmusyoka to discuss issues of Nairobi County and national interest, in particular the senseless killings of clergy as well as abductions of GenZ and anyone perceived to be going against this government. We must not go back to the dark Moi-era days. Asante sana your excellency for promising to keep mentoring young leaders.

Today @ChelseaFC has to win. Otherwise I am moving to @NFFC !
