From elation for my friend ... to tears with this statement 💔 I’m not going to pretend what Braiden wrote as a young teenager was OK. It wasn’t. But I’m also not going to pretend those words written at 15 years old tell me who the man I know today is. I know Braiden. I know his heart. I know his character. I know how hard he’s worked for his career. Honestly, he's the one who lifts me up - as I grind in the minors. I’ve had my own struggles with addiction and made plenty of mistakes in my life. I’m incredibly grateful I was given the opportunity to grow beyond the worst things I’ve ever done. That’s the part of this that scares me. If we immediately decide people are permanently defined by the worst things they did as kids, where do redemption, growth and second chances fit? I don’t know what the right answer is here. I just know the person I call my friend today. I love you, brother. This defines the moment, but it does not define you 💯 ❤️
