Mamata banerjee and Abhishek Banerjee weren’t invited to a single Durga Puja across West Bengal. And why would they be invited?
When the Ram Mandir was established after a 500-year struggle, the former Chief Minister led a rally near Park Circus, saying, 'I don't accept the Ram Mandir, and I never will.'
So why would they invite people who only resorted to vote bank politics ?

🚨India’s ₹3,000 Crore Maldives Currency Swap: A Step Towards Rupee Internationalisation and De-Dollarisation
India has approved the rollover of an existing ₹3,000 crore currency-swap facility for the Maldives. This is not a fresh ₹3,000 crore giveaway. It is an extension of an existing financial arrangement designed to provide short-term rupee liquidity when the Maldives faces financial pressure.
On the surface, it may look like a routine financial decision. Strategically, however, it represents something much bigger.
The Maldives is heavily dependent on tourism, imports and foreign-currency inflows. It needs foreign exchange to pay for essential imports and meet external obligations. Access to an Indian-rupee liquidity facility gives Male another financial channel, one that does not necessarily require every transaction to pass through the US dollar.
That is where the larger story begins.
India has increasingly encouraged the use of the rupee in international transactions, particularly with neighbouring and strategic partner countries. Bilateral trade settlement in local currencies can reduce the need for dollar conversion in eligible transactions, while currency-swap arrangements provide a liquidity backstop during periods of financial stress.
These are different mechanisms, but they point in the same direction: greater regional financial connectivity centred around the Indian rupee.
That is the essence of de-dollarisation, not necessarily replacing the dollar overnight, but reducing dependence on it wherever viable alternatives emerge.
For the rupee, this is also about internationalisation. A currency becomes internationally relevant not simply because its issuing country has a large economy, but because businesses, banks, investors and governments outside that country are willing to use, hold and trust it.

Every force on Earth is lined up against him.
Trump schemes against him. Xi schemes against him. Pakistan schemes against him. Bangladesh schemes against him. The deep state, global elites, the opposition, liberals, radicals, Islamists, and leftists, all of them are locked in a coordinated war to break him.
From the day Modi entered politics, not a single day has passed without a manufactured crisis, a planted scandal, or a calculated attack designed to derail him.
These aren’t genuine challenges. They are deliberate traps, year after year, engineered from inside India and outside it to distract him, exhaust him, and sabotage the work of transforming the country.
The plots have been relentless and vicious. New fronts open every year. Yet he keeps advancing, working without pause, without regard for himself, solely for India and its people.
At times I wonder, if Indians even deserve him. And then I am reminded of the millions that put their faith in him, year after year, election after election.

Yesterday, @POTUS signed an executive order waiving potentially 100% tariffs and new energy sanctions (Russia related) on India under the Lindsey O. Graham Sanctioning Russia and Iran Act of 2026. The suspension only covers the new energy-related provisions; India still faces existing U.S. import levies, including an 18% reciprocal tariff (reduced from earlier levels) and a 10% penalty tariff on select goods.
Thank you, @POTUS. This is a step in the right direction to repair our strategic alliance with Prime Minister @narendramodi and India. It’s never too late to pivot and I applaud you.
For over a year, @POTUS was undoubtedly ill-advised on India and engaged the wrong direction with India, straining the U.S.-India relationship. Countless small businesses in the U.S. and India suffered in this ‘tariff tug of war.” I applaud Prime Minister Modi for his steadfastness over a difficult year and not yielding to the “muscular” diplomacy from the U.S.
As I said over a year ago, America needs India. And India needs America. We should always negotiate as real friends. Find common ground. Our legacies and the well-being of our countries depend on it. We are stronger together. #India #US
I’ll say again: America needs India, and India needs America. Any direction in policy that strains our strategic alliance is the wrong direction.
@POTUS and @NarendraModi, my beloved leaders, this exchange of “muscular verbiage” on tariffs is troubling us all. Furthermore, countless small businesses in the US and India are hurting in this ‘tariff tug of war.” I speak to them daily.
Remember, we need each other. Negotiate as real friends. Find common ground. Your legacies and the well-being of our countries depend on this moment. #India #US

Congress and Other Opposition wants to bring change through street protests, not through the Constitutional way of elections. If that is their model, then Congress and Other Opposition should be reminded of how much the Indian people tolerated during 60 years of Congress rule.
