Commenting on @AgataFijalkow new book ‘Law visual culture and the show trial’ I was fascinated by the cultural connections between photos publicising the trials and the longer aesthetic traditions they resonate with. I was exploring this in the print room yesterday.
An amazing scholar.
I remember meeting Nathalie Zemon Davis at Lancaster University 28 years ago or so. Her work meticulous
and reflective and she was very engaged with every question we through at her. RIP
