Two state championships, but the greatest reward goes beyond the trophies. Mansfield Summit High School boys basketball head coach Emund Prichett joined us at RevoStudios for Coaches Corner to reflect on the players who helped build the Jaguars into a championship program and the pride he takes in watching them succeed beyond high school. With former players continuing their basketball careers overseas in Lithuania, France and Switzerland, Coach Prichett is seeing the impact of his program extend well beyond the hardwood. One former Jaguar recently dropped 43 points in Lithuania, another reminder of the talent that has come through Summit. What makes those stories even more meaningful is that several of those players never had the opportunity to win a state championship themselves. Instead, they helped lay the foundation for the back-to-back titles that followed, and their connection to the program remains strong. For Pritchett, it’s about more than championship banners. It’s about the players, the relationships and the basketball family that continues to grow at Mansfield Summit.
