🇺🇸 A 19-year-old U.S. Navy sailor jumped overboard from the USS Abraham Lincoln during the Iran war.
Now the Navy is accusing him of FAKING a mental health crisis.
Nicholas McKelvey spent 255 days at sea, working 12-hour shifts on the flight deck as food ran short.
His daughter was born days before the war began, and he wasn't there.
In June, he asked for mental health help but says he was sent to a chaplain instead.
In August, he jumped into the Arabian Sea.
This week, the Navy moved to discharge him for "malingering," a move that costs him his G.I. Bill education benefits.
The Navy told lawmakers there were 8 suicide attempts across the Lincoln's strike group during its 322-day deployment.
8 suicide attempts, and one of those sailors is now being accused of faking his crisis.
