We have received reports of airstrikes which hit Iran. We are in the process of getting more information. In the meantime, the safety of Filipino citizens in Iran and in the Middle East is paramount. I have instructed the DFA and the DMW to take measures to determine their whereabouts in affected areas and to take immediate measures to ensure their safety.

Yet another propaganda video has been released by the China Coast Guard, proudly portraying what they describe as “routine law-enforcement patrols” within the waters of Bajo de Masinloc. As usual, the footage is carefully edited to project an image of complete control and legitimacy. In reality, however, these heavily publicized Chinese patrols have consistently failed to respond to repeated radio challenges issued by the Philippine Coast Guard and the Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources over the past several days. Despite being clearly hailed on VHF Channel 16, the Chinese vessels have maintained radio silence, offering no acknowledgment, no justification, and no rebuttal to the Philippine authorities’ lawful assertions of jurisdiction. What makes this latest video particularly noteworthy is that the scripted radio challenge broadcast by the China Coast Guard once again includes the boilerplate declaration that China has “indisputable sovereignty” over Scarborough Shoal and its adjacent waters. This is precisely why China cannot and will not engage in a substantive radio exchange with Philippine forces. The Philippine Coast Guard’s challenges are firmly grounded in international law specifically the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) and the final and binding 2016 Arbitral Award, which categorically invalidated China’s sweeping “nine-dash lies.” China, on the other hand, has no credible legal response. Its claim rests entirely on the historically baseless and legally repudiated “nine-dash lies” a relic of 1940s cartographic ambition that was resoundingly rejected by the 2016 tribunal. Unable to defend its position under modern international law, Beijing resorts to the only tools left in its playbook: physical intimidation, selective video propaganda, and the repeated assertion of “indisputable sovereignty” as though sheer repetition could somehow transform fiction into fact. In short, these videos are not evidence of lawful presence; they are admissions of legal weakness. The refusal to answer lawful radio challenges, combined with the stubborn reliance on a thoroughly debunked claim, only underscores that China’s actions in Bajo de Masinloc are neither routine nor legitimate they are deliberate, sustained violations of Philippine sovereignty and international law.
#China Coast Guard (CCG) carried out law-enforcement patrols in the territorial waters of China’s Huangyan Dao and surrounding areas on Saturday. Since November, the CCG has continued to step up law-enforcement patrols in these waters, lawfully tracking and monitoring, issuing warnings and blocking or expelling vessels and aircraft engaged in illegal intrusion or disruptive activities, according to the CCG. These efforts further strengthen the management and control of the relevant maritime areas and firmly safeguard China’s territorial sovereignty and maritime rights and interests.

Iyak! 😭😂👊

Ganito kabobo ang mga anak ni Digong. Baste, Baste! The government of China is not the same as Chinese traders or manufacturers. We can buy Chinese-made goods out of necessity or affordability while still opposing the aggressive actions of China in the WPS. TANGA!

HOW THE PEOPLE STOPPED DDS HIJACKING Chavit Singon, Phillip Salvador, Ferdinand Topacio, Rowena Guanzon, and other anti-Marcos but pro-Duterte personalities… All of them went to the People Power Monument on EDSA corner White Plains and Ortigas. All of them went thinking they could join and be welcomed in the biggest anti-corruption protest by the people in years. All of them left with their heads bowed and egos humiliated. Chavit Singson was booed, cursed at, and even shouted by the protesters na “hulihin na yan!” Phillip Salvador was booed, called epal, and even told by some protesters “magbigay ka muna ng sustento!” Ferdinand Topacio suffered a worse fate - used to getting so much attention, not many cars were stopping or beeping their horns for him. He also wasn’t welcomed near the People Power Monument and only allowed near Gate 4 of Camp Aguinaldo where protesters knew the DDS were hoping for a coup. He didn’t stay long in EDSA and left soon after in the morning to go to the Liwasang Bonifacio where 300-hundred strong DDS protesters welcomed him finally. Rowena Guanzon suffered the worst fate. She went to the Luneta rally and was noticed a bit by media and photographers but after that, no attention from her fellow protesters and the public at large. She retreated back to a hotel lobby and got a consuelo de bobo interview by a social media blogger. Then, from Luneta she went to the People Power Monument and she wasn’t booed. But she wasn’t also cheered at. People were civil to her. But no one paid much attention to her. People were avoiding her. That is a fate worse than being booed. What’s common among all of them is that they failed to read the room - most if not all of them went to EDSA thinking a “Marcos resign!” call was popular or that a regime change was in the offing. They thought given EDSA ONE, DOS, and TRES, that the protest in EDSA would mimic rallying cries calling for the incumbent President to step down and/or worse, be ousted by a coup. But people now know better. Organizers were clear days before and during the day of the rally - the protest wasn’t JUST anti-Marcos, it was anti-Duterte and anti-corruption. Progressives and the middle class were already fooled once during EDSA DOS. Back then, there was a debate whether or not to call for “Resign ALL!” or just “Erap Resign!”. Since Gloria Arroyo still generally smelled good then, the Erap Resign prevailed. But many well meaning and smart people already knew GMA was not going to be good. And they were proven right. And the people who joined EDSA DOS experienced People Power fatigue or regime change fatigue. They. We. I. Have learned our lesson. Especially now when the Vice President is obviously an unacceptable replacement even if BBM resigns. And this is what DDS stooges failed to read and learn from. They thought they would be welcomed and cheered. They thought they could exploit the people’s anger again. But people now know better. Especially when these stooges all have clear political interests and are mere hypocrites in calling for a specific regime change. Despite the minority of bashers, Vice Ganda is correct about BBM. We want him to pursue accountability of all corrupt politicians not because we trust him or he is our idol. But because we pay his salary as President from taxpayers money. We will not be used by the Marcoses, the Dutertes, Chavit Singson, or anyone else. We want genuine accountability and then genuine change - spend our taxes correctly so we don’t get flooded and the economy gets better. Don’t try us, mga ka-DDS. #TrillionPesoMarch #Accountability

True though. Need to regulate remote workers who migrate here and drive housing costs up. Rent has become barely affordable to students and local employees who in my opinion are the ones that truly integrate
‘MAHIYA KA NAMAN’ Leyte 4th District Rep. Richard Gomez has urged a “clean mayor” to address problems in his own backyard first before dragging the entire Congress into allegations of corruption, noting that the city of this local chief executive is “drowning in problems.” READ MORE: inqnews.net/MmzK3s

The idea that “ONLY LAWYERS” can have an informed say on matters of CONSTITUTIONAL import is not only UNDEMOCRATIC but also, tbh, very very “THIRD WORLD” 🙃
