Final Score: 13-3 UC Berkeley. After the first period it was nothing but Golden Bears. IU was unable to get inside the cage and score close and that kept them from finding success offensively. This will end IU’s regular season.
End of Period 3: The Hoosiers continue to find difficulty offensively with another no goal period. UC Berkeley repeats their four goal period. Unless IU is able to draw some more power plays they may end the regular season with a loss. Score Update: 10-2 UC Berkeley.
End of Period 2: University of California, Berkeley dominates the period by scoring four times and allowing no goals against them. It’s been much harder for IU to find shots inside. Score Update: 6-2 UC Berkeley.
End of Period 1: Both teams are keeping competition very tight. IU is taking control of the power play today by converting on every attempt so far. If the offense can give junior goalkeeper Mary Askew some rest they may be able to maintain energy throughout. Score Update: 2-2.
End of Period 3: Hoosiers were unable to put up points in the period - allowing San Jose State to gain the lead. San Jose State is still looking for their first conference victory of the year, so the Hoosiers have a lot on their plate. Score Update: 6-5 San Jose State.
End of Period 2: IU was able to find their offensive footing from great passes and out scored the Spartans 4-1. Again, the game is very close but the Hoosiers could pull away if they can maintain their selfless passing and accuracy. Score Update: 5-3 Indiana.
End of Period 1: Both teams having a slow start as all the goals so far have been scored within the final 2 minutes of the period. Shots are bouncing off the cage and hardly missing on both sides. It’s anyone’s game. Score Update: 2-1 San Jose State.
