wrt FSD: If they are removed most if not all the C++ code to where FSD runs pretty much entirely as AI...wouldn't that render the software impossible to steal?
You can't steal the source code if there is no source code to steal.

I keep reading posts saying "No one uses AI. We are in a bubble."
Here's a reminder.
For the last 15 years, corporations have been searching for a solution for Big Data (ie searching through and organizing Petabytes of data). AI is a solution for that (essentially is a big searchable data base). If Big Data was not your problem, the solution likely isn't for you either.
You were never the target customer. Deal with it.
Sure FSD is great. However, I got my Model Y Premium primarily for the integrated dashcam + side cams + rear cam and the 15 speaker sound system + dedicated sub and glass roof, smooth/quiet acceleration and not having to go to a gas station for daily commute.
FSD was kinda at the bottom of the must-have list.

I successfully charged my Tesla Model Y partially using the Ecoflow Delta Pro.
Because my commute to work and back is 5KWh, one delta pro alone cannot do that amount but two can...in a decent time with the proper voltage. The delta pro's can be charged via solar during the day, only to charge my tesla for an hour-ish at night.
However, it likely isn't worth it just to save roughly $2 a day.
why is AI research starting to sound like "Gain of Function" research?
"We need gain of function to plan/predict the next pandemic."
"We need AI to find plan/predict security holes."
No matter what regulation is put in place, we going to have another Fauci that thinks he/she is above the rules...for the greater good...and will use another country to bypass those rules.
My daily commute is averaging 186Wh/Mi in my Tesla Model Y Premium RWD using FSD.
Perfect commute vehicle.

I purchased a Tesla Model Y Premium RWD recently.
I previously drove a Toyota Prius II 2014.
A few thoughts.
It looks like my daily driving (dropping off the kids, picking up the kids, going to work, leaving work) amounts to roughly 66Mi per day. On avg, that is roughly 15KWh a day. I start my morning at 80%. By the time I plugin at the end of it all, it is about 61%. If I plugin at 5:00pm in a 110V-120V outlet at 12A, it is usually back at 80% on or before 7:30am the next day. My electric company has a flat rate (regardless of time of day) at 0.137 KWh. Roughly ~$2 a day. ~$14 a week. Between ~$61-~$63 a month.
My Prius uses about 9.2 gallons between fuelings, on avg getting about 42Mpg (yes even after 12 years). That would be roughly 1.5 gallons a day, having to refill every 5.8 days. Typically, in reality, it was about once a week. At $3.78 per gallon (current TX pump prices in my area), that's about $34.77 a week. $139 a month.
For both cars, that is worse case scenario without any long trips. On weekends, it is different, since I don't pick up the kids from school or commute to work. This is just assuming both cars, the same work, all day, every day.
In order for the Prius to match the Tesla (9.2 gallons costing $14 a week), gas prices have to drop 60% to get to $1.52 (9.2 gal x $1.52 = $13.98). This isn't going to happen.
Just ordered a Telsa Model Y Premium RWD.
From what the web says, this will either be the second worst decision of my life or it will be a very fun car to relieve a little mid-life crisis.
At the very least, I already have a new set of mudflaps ready for after I take delivery.
So I watched The Odyssey. Overall, it was okay.
Hoyte knocked it out of the park with his cinematography. Not nearly as "drab" and "colorless" as social media complained about when the trailers dropped.
About Bitcoin.
If banks/companies are going to be buying/selling as they get close to the quarterly results, BTC price movements are definitely going to be affected by the business cycle and will be going forward.
So Odysseus sails by a monster can only eat maximum number of his crew, giving him time to sail on by.
Why does this sound like the Zapp Brannigan strategy of hitting the Killbots' kill limit?
Went to meet the teacher for elementary.
Granted, it is likely Texas law now, but both have the ten commandments displayed.
we are sooo back.
*sigh*
MOTU is so far the most fun movie of the Summer. Of Backrooms, Obsession, and MOTU, it is the only one worth a rewatch. Yet, MOTU is the one tanking the BO. This is why we can't have nice things.
Obsession, while decently shot and directed, has narrative and acting issues. Plus Obsession is pretty much the same plot as a Tales from the Crypt episode, with tweaks that create plot problems.
Backrooms, while stronger than Obsession, also has narrative problems, but the acting is better.
I just watched Masters of the Universe!
Why does this movie exist? Amazon spent a crapload on it and clearly every penny is on the screen, but this is essentially Flash Gordon dressed up like Thor Ragnarok. It feels like an 80's fantasy movie, and most 80's fantasy movies flopped.
It has EXCELLENT lighting, sets, costumes. The cast fills their roles very well. It is a dream that this exists at all. As far as toxic masculinity, the movie clearly says 'fighting for personal glory and power' is the toxic stuff but 'fighting to protect what you care about' is good. That doesn't sound insane, like most wokeness. It actually blatantly makes fun of the HR "conflict resolution" crap.
Solid 'B+'. It will likely flop, because there has to be a lot more like me buying tickets to justify a She-ra movie.
