I still do not advocate any hate and vitriol toward him. Despite my immense disappointment he is still my friend.
Though I do encourage asking him to do better. The position he’s in as the biggest primarily KH centric content creator but covering entirely or mostly AI generated mods is a dangerous precedent and flat out encourages further use of GenAI, rather than fostering and encouraging actual creativity, work, and drive.
No amount of “it’s cool though” excuses taking shortcuts built on stolen work.
The issue with half these AI recomps and "PC Ports" is that they're spearheaded by chuds who are known to be clout chasers, or just generally terrible people.
I wouldn't mind these projects if the people behind them didn't suck as human beings.

I'm tired of arguing about AI with you.
It's frustrating.
We clearly don't have our ideals aligned, and it's just going to be constant back and forth bickering.
The majority of users already decided who to side with, and at this point, arguing is moot.
I am not anti-AI.
I am, however, against people who decide to make it their entire personality and be smug about it, and push those away who paved the way for their tools to be used in the first place.
AI is a great tool, and I'm excited to see it being used for productivity...
Do I believe AI is the future? Yes, the lid is torn off, and many great projects are being realized at an incredible rate. It is though, being used by people to generate soulless creations that undermine the work of those who came before it, while chasing clout.

I looked up to you with your Critical Mix mod, and that you even created your own game, but now I'm at a point in my own modding career where I know my place in the community and how to support it.
what ruins communities more:
a) Sharing a cool mod that is built using the exact same tools that all modern software engineers use?
b) Hoping that people's endeavors blow up in their face and calling them an asshole?
this kind of behavior is nothing new for the KH modding community or openKH members.
