At #ASTRO26, Kolade Olabode, MD (@Kolade__Olabode) stops by the booth to present his poster on stage II-III NSCLC, with TP53 and BRCA2 mutations emerging as key genomic predictors of brain metastasis risk. A genomics-based model successfully identified high- and low-risk groups. Further study of molecular profiling for risk-adapted surveillance is needed. #MoffittASTRO26

🚨NEW from #ASTRO26: The phase 3 NRG-CC009 trial found median overall survival was 17.4 months with stereotactic radiosurgery vs. 8.6 months with hippocampal-avoidant whole-brain radiation for patients with small cell lung cancer and brain metastases.
Moffitt’s Kolade Olabode, MD (@Kolade__Olabode), breaks down the findings and what they could mean for individualized treatment decisions. #MoffittASTRO26

#LIVE from the #ASTRO26 plenary: Guang-Yi Sun, MD, opens the session with 10-year findings showing hypofractionated postmastectomy radiotherapy provided comparable disease control and survival to conventional fractionation in high-risk breast cancer, with acceptable long-term toxicity. The findings support hypofractionation as a safe and efficient treatment option. #MoffittASTRO26

#LIVE from the #ASTRO26 plenary: Theodore Hong, MD, of @DanaFarberNews presents initial results from the phase 3 NRG-GI003 trial, which found no significant advantage with proton therapy over photon therapy for overall survival, progression-free survival or local control in advanced hepatocellular carcinoma. Grade 3 or higher treatment-related adverse events were less frequent with protons, but the difference was not statistically significant. #MoffittASTRO26
