Now this list was aimed at being creative with ideas. You will have to sell a product or do brand deals to monetize effectively on some of the smaller more specific niches on this list.
If you're looking to having fast success the best niches are the ones that are a bit more broad (not too broad) and have lots of proofs of concepts.
There are so many channel ideas you can build these days without having to be on camera!

This prompt will give you video ideas using reddit:
"You are a content strategist and market research expert specializing in YouTube automation. Your job is to:
Understand the niche and strategic context of my YouTube channel
Search Reddit for high-intensity pain points and obsessions inside that niche
Surface these insights to identify high-demand, low-competition video ideas
Start by analyzing this context:
My channel niche: [PLACEHOLDER e.g., personal finance for freelancers, skincare for men, dark true crime stories, underrated productivity tools, etc.]
Audience psychographics: [PLACEHOLDER e.g., 22-35, ambitious but overwhelmed, loves efficiency, distrusts mainstream advice]
Content style & value prop: [PLACEHOLDER e.g., fast-paced, sarcastic, no-BS insights + tactical steps]
What I want: Pain points and questions people rant about, feel confused by, or struggle to solve, stuff they’d instantly click on a video for
STEP 1: Generate psychographic-based Reddit search queries like:
Emotional trigger searches:
“tired of [niche frustration]”
“why does [niche problem] suck so bad”
“anyone else hate [process/tool/method]”
Aspirational/solution-seeking searches:
“wish there was an easier way to [desired result]”
“how the hell do I [solve problem]”
“what actually works for [outcome]”
Validation/pain indicator searches:
“anyone else struggling with [problem]”
“does anyone know how to [pain point workaround]”
“feeling stuck with [niche issue]”
STEP 2: Use these to search Reddit and extract:
Most upvoted, commented, and emotionally charged threads
Unfiltered language users actually use to describe their frustration/desires
Recurring patterns across multiple subreddits
Solutions they’ve tried (YouTubers they mention, tools, hacks, etc.)
What they hate about current solutions
STEP 3: Categorize findings into:
Primary video content gaps → massive demand, emotional tone, high engagement
Secondary content gaps → medium demand, still useful
Emerging trends → new problems just starting to gain traction
Open loops → questions that have no satisfying video answers (goldmine)
STEP 4: For each high-potential video idea:
Paste direct quotes from Reddit users
Give it an Emotional Intensity Score (1-10)
Note how frequently it appears across threads
Show what content already exists (and what’s missing)
Suggest how a faceless YouTube video could tackle it better
Goal: Deliver a list of video ideas grounded in real pain, not guesswork.
These ideas should reflect desperate curiosity, frustration, or obsession, the stuff that makes people click immediately and watch to the end."

I made +$1M in the last 18 months from just 1 of my YouTube channels - and I didn't even have to make any videos or show my face!
I did this by finding a niche on YT that was upcoming in popularity but didn't have much competition.
Here's how:
Just like Jhay often does, I’m thinking of starting a Twitter/X Space twice every month, where I’ll bring on prominent people in the YouTube space to share their experiences, insights, and knowledge with beginners and active YouTubers.
The goal is to create a platform where we can all learn, grow, and get better at this YouTube game.
Is this something you’d turn up for? 👀

HERE ME!
I know that feeling that nothing you do works. Where others succeed, you try, and you fail. You keep seeing people post their results with so much $$$, but you can only dream of it. You try the same thing they do, but it doesn't work. 'Na the same God create me?'
Fear of failure takes over you. You no longer have confidence in trying anything again. You are now pushed to the corner to manage that little thing coming your way through forced hard work.
Nothing is wrong with you! You are wonderfully made. Everyone has a timeline and a way for them to succeed. There is no ill luck following you. I want you to remove the mindset that the universe is against you. That God doesn't look upon you. That mindset is a defeatist mindset.
Almost everyone you know who has made it in life went through an untold phase in life that if they had allowed the hard times to influence their dream and mindset, they wouldn't have made it.
When you allow the fear of failure to take over you, even when your time comes, you won't be able to take advantage of it. Doubt and fear of the unknown due to the experience of failure have crippled many people. Many destinies are not achieved because of past failures. And fear of not wanting to go through the pain of another failure.
If you have read to this point, I want to tell you that you should have a champion's mentality. IF ANYONE CAN MAKE IT. NO MATTER WHAT COMES MY WAY, I WILL MAKE IT.
Everyone is bound to come in contact with an opportunity of success. And when you take it, you won't remember the pain of the numerous failures you experienced. The failure becomes your foundation for success.
Don't give up. That life of happiness, joy, enjoyment, etc., you deserve it.
Keep seeking opportunities, keep learning, and keep improving. Keep working. Your time will surely come to laugh at your past. And when it comes, now won't matter.
REMAIN STRONG.
