At a loose end 1st-2nd June? Come to the Totnes & Bridgetown Royal Regatta!
Don’t let the WEARA-speak put you off - all events open to all clubs!
BR wins convert to WEARA status points (eg WEARA allows up to three wins at Nov before moving to SC).
Just completed the first 5k test of the season. A PB, just!
So I thought I’d have fun and enter my time in the Concept 2 Logbook rankings, only to discover the *machine* that is @jackie_bt is almost 2 minutes faster than me! Then again, she is No 1 in the world by 10s… – at South West, England
Ok. I’ve kept quiet so far this evening, but are representations of a beheaded Marie Antoinette in every window and blood streamers actually appropriate for an Olympic Games opening ceremony? – at South West, England
Great result in the Int 36+ 4+ at the BR Masters Champs today, beating a very strong Bedford crew into second place by 0.52 secs!
Add a dramatic lightning strike to the scoreboard that sent a shockwave through our gazebo and several of us, and it was a day to remember! – at West Bridgford, England
Stunning evening, coxing my younger masters 4 on the Dart ahead of British Rowing Masters later this month…

Oh my, @jowhiley ! I’d forgotten just how beautiful Jeff Buckley’s Lilac Wine is! I was brought up on Elkie Brooks’ version. Both just sublime…
It’s little things that make loss hit you at full force.
A woman at the shop today had a Sunday Times in her trolley. Dad and I used to do the cryptic crossword together when I went to stay - a clue each, done in turn. Often whilst watching the cricket.
I miss him so much!
You know you’re embedded in rowing club culture when you’re working at home with the Scullery U.K. Junior Sculling live feed on your screen waiting for the finals…
Go @DartTotnes juniors!

Meanwhile sessions are up to keep us all fit all over the summer. There will be more to come (we haven’t added @DarrylPreston64 in yet, and what’s a #ZoomErgo schedule without Darryl?), but you can see we will bat in through the whole summer this year. Come and join us!

@jowhiley cooking dinner in VERY wet Devon! How about Scarlett Johansson and Pete Yorn, Realtor, to cheer me up!
Hot on the heels of yesterday’s great HoRR results, the @DartTotnes masters men took 2nd place in their category at the Vesta Masters Head with a really good solid row. And one of the crew only started learning to row last Sept!
Whoop! Fabulous rows (and months of hard work) by the two senior @DartTotnes crews saw DTARC A come 78th overall at @EightsHead to take the Medium Club Pennant and DTARC B come 148th overall and 10th in the MC category.
Don't think they'll be starting at 202 and 290 next year...

In honour of the @RNLI 's 200th birthday, we will donate £50 to this amazing charity for each antique RNLI Marine Fishermans Aneroid Barometer sold in March 2024.
As sailors and rowers, we appreciate greatly the endeavours and bravery of these dedicated teams of heroes.
