@LNER hi! Your alternative routes map for this morning lists to Newcastle via Carlisle, but in the station they're saying there's no ticket acceptance on this route. Is this correct? Why list it as an alternative if it's no possible?
#Kates30Things update: 16 are completed, one is in progress (shorthand) and 4 are booked for the next few weeks. I'm a bit behind but trying not to be too hard on myself. I've done lots of things for the first time this year, but they haven't all been exciting enough to count!
Just restating my long held call for delivery company transparency and choice from online retailers. Seriously, it's in everyone's interest for people to be able to pick the company that they know actually delivers to their house.... *Cough* *cough* #DPD
I'm doing another Thing this evening! For those not aware I'm aiming to do 30 things I've never done before before I turn 30 or: #Kates30Things
Tonight it's watch a recording of Nature Table for @BBCRadio4 with @sueperkins.
I've seen a TV pilot being filmed before but never a radio show so I'm excited to see the similarities and differences, and how it becomes a spectator sport! #Kates30Things
Doing a Thing tonight! Off to a life drawing class as an adventure. I've of course not done one before but also have not engaged in art beyond mindfulness colouring books on a long time... We'll see how it goes #Kates30Things
I may not have finished Thing 1 yet (Bleak House is long...) but Thing 2 has commenced! Originally this was just a 'really big puzzle' so I've settled on a 3000 piece one as the numbers chime well. Hopefully it will also fit on our rolling puzzle mat... #Kates30Things
Me and my 2999 piece puzzle might just have a cry in the corner... #Kates30Things #Thing2
With immense thanks to the puzzle piece replacement service I'm happy to say this Thing is complete! #Kates30Things

The current House of Commons includes the youngest, longest-serving and longest continuously-serving woman MPs of all time; it also includes the woman MP with the longest span of service & the youngest woman ever to have been a member of the UK government #InternationalWomensDay
You may remember I'm doing 30 new things before I turn 30. Number 3 is here! I have taken an @Ancestry DNA kit and the results are in... We've done lots of genealogy stuff in the past so I'm not sure if this is entirely new, but the DNA bit definitely is #Kates30Things
Now, the moment of truth! I have widely advertised to family I'm doing this just in case there were some secrets lurking out there aaaand.... nope nothing. I have linked with a possible first cousin called Daniel who (from the photo) looks suspiciously like... my cousin Daniel
More excitingly, the genes don't lie and it looks like the long suspected upstairs/downstairs situation was in fact true! #Kates30Things #30by30
