Senior Senator and long term leader of the party has serious health issues and this is what we get from one our reps with a large national following. Disagree all day long on policy but have some decency. Shameful!
We said we would own the title of The Biggest Small-Town Fourth of July Celebration in America, and boy, did we. I’ve never been more proud of our community. Thankful to share our story this morning on @NewsNation's @TheHillSunday with @ChrisStirewalt #lakecumberland250 #seemyset
Thrilled to join some amazing local colleagues, @usdaRD and @TravisTBurton for this round table today. Good stuff happening in Rural Kentucky and America’s heartland!
State Director Burton joined Mayor Keck, SPEDA, SKED, and the Somerset-Pulaski Chamber in Somerset to talk small business development. Small businesses are the backbone of our economy & @usdaRD has ways to help.
Stopped in to see the Franchise, @Jake_Staton7 while in Clinton County recently. A right of passage for anyone in KY who appreciates those who get it done behind the scenes , and oftentimes out front, leading the charge!
I’m grateful for another year of joining these great men as we honor those who gave it all. It’s a tiny sacrifice but great reminder of what our brave soldiers do on a regular basis. I am the slowest of the bunch, but found a way to improve from last year! #memorialday #TheMurph
Fascinating night locally & statewide. What you do for your community and state matters. Elections have trended so national it’s often overlooked that who you represent is right at home. We’ve made amazing progress locally and it showed. Others things became evident as well!
I’ll never forget what happened on this day one year ago. The moments before the first tornado tore through our community and moved on to neighboring counties. The moments in between the storms as I huddled with first responders from every agency in the county. And the moments after the storms ended, when everyone came together in a manner that I’d never seen before.
Loved ones were lost; homes and businesses ravaged. Despite the heartache and destruction, I saw a community rally and leap to help. Fear and anxiety reigned in the early morning hours that day, but those feelings pale in comparison to the gratitude and pride I felt in the days and weeks that followed.
May we continue to be good neighbors to one another, in good times and bad.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I love The West Wing. I’ve watched it more than I should admit (sorry @TravisTBurton ). Of course the politics are interesting, it’s written beautifully and the acting is great. Sure, things are romanticized and there are probably too many happy endings. But the cast also tackled real challenges and faced insurmountable odds.
It was after reading What’s Next that I realized exactly why I love the show so much. This book goes way behind the scenes and in depth about the cast, the crew and the writers. It highlights the staff in The West Wing more than the President, humble people doing all they can to make their country better. Just like the amazing people I get to work with everyday. Ordinary folks doing extraordinary things. I’ve always said I work alongside the best team in the state. Reading this book made me appreciate them even more than I already did. I hope our community knows just how special they are!
The other pic is the rest of the months reading…
Man… this is awfully rich coming from someone who was privileged. @JDVance was raised by grandparents, not a future Governor. For someone who claims to stay focused on bringing folks together, this should beneath you.
Last months reading - I appreciate the encouragement and new recommendations from you all. Keep em coming!
Didn’t know big bro was doing this but guarantee it’ll be thorough, insightful and well done. Excited to dive in! Take a look!
All knowing Massie keeps himself on the island of self righteousness. He always knows best. If you don’t believe him, just ask!
In case you missed it, Republicans resorted to socialism this week to keep power plants open. The law, which passed the House without my vote, forces private companies to keep unprofitable plants in operation while the government subsidizes their losses.

Laughable. Rep. McGarvey is a smart guy and unequivocally knows better. Partisan politics at its worst. This is a failure of our Governor and his overzealousness to promote and giveaway perks for “green” energy.
This is the impact of Trump's big ugly bill.
We should be focused on the future, but his short-sighted attack on clean energy has made it too expensive. And Kentucky workers are paying for it. bit.ly/4j1jbXq
