Souheil has been released! Earlier today our comrade Souheil Benslimane was arrested by Ottawa Police Services. They have now been released, but their struggle is far from over. Souheil is one of too many who are marginalized, criminalized, targeted and illegalized by Canada.

#ALERT: Today, our comrade Souheil Benslimane was arrested by Ottawa Police Services and is currently being detained. We don't have the full details yet other than what was on their livestream.
We will continue to mobilize and keep Souheil safe every time and any time the state attempts to repress them, and we thank you for joining us in this fight. #KeepSouheilHome
When non-citizens are convicted they are not only punished by the unjust criminal legal system, but they also often face the additional punishment of negative immigration outcomes including deportation.
