Small detail but as Eze walks out on the pitch to fulfil a lifelong dream, the advert for Emirates reads: “It’s not just about the destination, it’s how you get there.”
Very fitting. Welcome Ebz. #Eze10
YES NONI! 1-0.
Lovely proactive run beyond Gyokeres who does really well in holding up then quickly playing through.
Great start.

🖤 DEP
If we had an attack that was half as good as this defence we’d be unstoppable.
I’ve been waiting nearly half my life for another win at Anfield so thank you to our goalkeeper, defence, Declan for the overlap, Kai for the tap in, and all the boys for the shift they put in.
FT 1-0 at Anfield
Why has Noni stopped taking corners this season?
Was whipping in some dangerous ones last year including scoring direct from one (might’ve gone down as an OG)
Finally winning a free kick in the Liverpool half and then deciding to play a short 5-yard pass straight to an offside players sums up our attack.
Lovely lovely ball across the box from Rice. 1-0 at Anfield let’s keep going this time rather than sit back and allow the crowd to build.
Was always going to be the case.
It was all about the messaging the club wanted to send to the young boy: that we back you and protect you.
We move.
Trying to digest this performance and result. Probably the worst result in my time supporting the club (since 2006) especially considering we’re at our best in that time.
I wouldn’t say my tweet underestimated them. They proved to be poor but our attacking fluidity and decisiveness knows no depths it seems.
Positives? Wake up call to the owners and staff that our attack ain’t good enough, even against League 2 ops.
