Michigan voters are about to show the entire country we don’t give a fuck what racist Islamophobes think.
I hope they enjoy kissing our collective ass.
OK, wait, this ISP is awesome. When I first signed up, I was behind a carrier-grade NAT. Reached out to support through chat, said I wanted a public IP. Support guy goes "no problem, give me a few minutes to make the changes". A few minutes later, my router had a Public IP

Help get @abdulelsayed elected to the senate! Jewish safety depends on a real multiracial democracy—and Abdul is the one fighting to protect it.

We know how much it matters to live in a country where our rights are protected, where the law applies equally to everyone, and where the majority can’t just decide that some people don’t deserve the same freedoms. The safety and freedom we’ve found in America didn’t happen by accident. They exist because of democracy. And protecting democracy means protecting Jewish safety, too.
We know what happens when those protections start to break down. When courts are weakened, elections are undermined, and people lose equal protection under the law, minorities are often the first to pay the price. Jews have seen this throughout our history. It’s one of the reasons so many of our families sought refuge in democratic countries.
That’s why I find it so alarming to see what’s happening right now. When masked government agents are taking people off the streets and citizens are being shot in public, we should all be worried about where things are headed. As Jews, we know that when a government starts targeting certain groups of people, no one should assume they’re safe from what comes next.
Mike Rogers has chosen to align himself with a movement that is willing to attack our democracy. He stood with Trump and refused to accept the results of the 2020 election. And now we’re seeing what happens when a political movement treats the rights and dignity of certain people as disposable. For Jews, these things should set off alarm bells.
Jewish safety is tied to the health of our democracy. We can’t protect one without protecting the other. And in this Senate race, Abdul is the candidate who understands that and is willing to fight for it.

I still have no idea how no one made the weed connection. I was certain that was going to be a dead give away…
Bros crashing out over this... so let's actually take it a look at it from the perspective of a home-owner that can comfortably afford their home:
Yes, you CAN take out a 30-year mortgage to buy a $200,000 home. That doesn't mean you should have to. This over-financialization of the housing market is exactly why shits so unaffordable. Most people can't afford an $80,000 home out of pocket, but they can afford a $300,000 on a 30-year mortgage. So, given that, if you're selling a home, where should you price it? Duh, you're going to jack up the price because everyone is expected to take out a mortgage. After 30 years, however, at current interest rates you're paying more than the value of the home in interest ALONE on a home that, if it weren't for financialization, speculation, and corporate ownership, would probably only be worth, at most $125,000.
No one is asking for a hand-out. People just want a fair shake. Expecting people to pay just shy of $650,000 for a home that had a sale price of $300,000 is not a fair shake (assuming a 6% interest-rate, which is way overly generous). Those boomers that your buddies in the comments are talking about with their multi-million dollar McMansions aren't even able to sell them. There's no one who will buy that. All that speculation on price, got them what? Bragging rights to an over-priced house that will never sell? This shit all unnecessarily drives up the cost of the entire market, for everyone. Our parents were able to outright buy a brand new house from a year of saving, then sit on that house that they claim is worth millions, while most people under the age of 50 have to pay more than half their monthly take-home just to afford rent or their mortgage. Not to mention, any home in the "affordable" range isn't new, probably needs a new roof in 3 years (if it doesn't already), needs most of its appliances replaced, has horrendously inefficient HVAC, etc. The cost of a "cheap" home is largely hidden and will surprise first-time home buyers. So why should boomers get to buy a brand new construction by putting away 20% of their monthly take-home while current generations can't even afford a down-payment on savings like that?
It shouldn't be this way. That's what everyone who is dogging on you is feeling. It's a system designed to extract as much value out of people who NEED housing to live, while benefiting people who bought their houses decades ago. Telling people to shut up because they see something that can be fixed to the benefit of everyone except a small, literally dying part of the population, and want to fix it is just dumb. Housing is a necessity, not a luxury. And all of those "$200,000 homes" you were posting... they're condos, that the owner will never be able to sell. They're a terrible investment, which is why they're so cheap. Condos are notoriously difficult to re-sell, even in a good housing market. You were able to buy a house? Good for you, not everyone is living your life and can or should follow in your footsteps. If a 30-year mortgage was the answer for you, good on you, but don't sit here that preach how easy it is to everyone else.

This is the most obvious tell you aren’t from Michigan. There is no DMV here and our SOS actually runs incredibly smooth. I’d much prefer the SOS to manage my healthcare than United HealthCare
