At one point, Ukraine had the third-largest contingent of personnel deployed in Iraq, behind only the U.S. and UK.
Replying to @BernardGoldberg
So, Ukraine is coming to our aid if we are attacked? Do you really believe that?
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Ukraine did provide military support to the US following the 9/11 attacks, with over 5,000 troops serving in Iraq as the third-largest coalition contingent and contributions to Afghanistan operations. army.mil/article/15056/… nato.int/en/what-we-do/…

Akhirnya takut juga, kan? Apa ga mampus kalau 38% BBM sulingan kita masih bergantung sama refiner luar? And good luck kalau mau nyari ‘friendly price’; Easily 100 USD+ per barrel if you buy from India (Russia contraband) or US.

And we fucked up with our closest distributor.

Ga bisa pakai ancaman langsung? Ancam pasarnya! Haha.

This is in line with what I’ve expected: that any kind of corrective policy will result in a guarantee but the effect will remain limited as the actual price of commodities are unrelated to its prediction markets. As is with reality, it’ll often bites you in the rear.

Even if Russia could export what it promised, it would merely be moving fuel from its domestic market, rather than boosting supplies, because its remaining refineries are already running at full tilt Diesel futures are little changed from Oct. 9, when Trump announced the deal.

So, the effect on energy market would still be minimal. The only country that has larger, freer (and even cleaner) refineries is of course, China. But I don’t think Trump would risk that despite this is what U.S oil executives recommends. We shall see.

I don't get why Daron and Robinson is so preoccupied in making sure their theory can be seen as all-encompassing (can be applied to any phenomenon, historical and contemporary) while it has never been the case.

Dependency theories they proposed also falls apart when a lot of the sources they cited (especially the case of Kongo, citing Thornton) proves otherwise.
