๐จ STATEMENT ALERT!
KENYANS, HELP US DEMAND THE RELEASE OF THE IMF GOVERNANCE AND ANTI-CORRUPTION DIAGNOSTIC REPORT!
The IMF Governance and Anti-Corruption Diagnostic Report was commissioned following the 2024 Gen Z protests, which called for accountability, an end to corruption and responsible management of public resources.
The Government received the final report in June 2026, but its findings remain inaccessible to the public.
The Okoa Uchumi Campaign is demanding:
1. Immediate public release of the report.
2. Formal tabling before Parliament.
3. A clear roadmap with timelines for implementing its recommendations.
๐ฐ๐ชWe are asking Kenyans to join this call. This is about the public's right to information, accountability and the future of our country.
Help us demand its release. Share this statement and amplify the call.

Medical costs in Kenya are projected to rise by 13% in 2027. For millions already struggling to make ends meet, access to healthcare is becoming increasingly out of reach.
Healthcare must be a public good, not a privilege reserved for those who can afford it.

A packet of milk now costs up to Ksh.95.
Weโre watching people get priced out of an ordinary life, forced to go without as incomes fail to keep up.
We canโt control all external shocks, but we need an economy that puts peopleโs needs first. #CostOfLivingKE

We don't have to save the world, just don't mess it up for the next generation.
What do music, poetry and art have to do with the cost of living?
Everything, when they get us talking about the lives weโre living and the ones we should be able to afford.
On Friday, young people came together to do exactly that.
A life we can afford is not too much to ask.
Comrades, ni KESHO!โ๐พ
๐ค On stage: Baba Taifa, Cricket Writes and Nelmo Newsong. Spoken word, live music, graffiti, Kenyan history and real talk about how we got here and the Kenya we want.
Come with a friend and come ready to be heard.
When did simply getting by become this expensive?
This Friday, join us for an evening of poetry, music, art & history as we ask: what would an economy that works for people look like?
Come through. Then sign the Cost of Living Petition: bit.ly/FIACL

It is one thing to write good health policies, but another thing for a clinic to actually have stock. Listening to patients and healthcare workers on the front lines is the only way to fix our health system.ย

Kenyaโs National Coroners Service Act, 2017 provides a framework for investigating reportable deaths, determining their identity, cause, manner and circumstances, and strengthening forensic medical investigations.
As Kenya awaits the long overdue implementation of the Act, we support the proposal to domicile the National Coroners Service under the Ministry of Health, while maintaining strong cooperation with the Office of the Attorney-General, Judiciary, National Police Service and ODPP.
Coronial investigations depend heavily on forensic pathology, post-mortems, laboratories, identification systems and medical expertise. Housing the Service within the health sector can strengthen these technical capacities while preserving the independence necessary for credible death investigations.
For bereaved families, coronial justice is ultimately about truth, dignity and answers.
The Act must now move from legislation to implementation.

PRESS STATEMENT ALERT!!
Inuka Kenya Ni Sisi! joins the East African Civil Society Organisations ,in raising concern over how measures affecting foreign informal traders are being communicated and implemented in Kenya
We recognise Kenyaโs legitimate sovereign right to regulate immigration, employment, taxation, and business activity. However, such measures must be lawful, proportionate, non-discriminatory, and consistent with Kenyaโs obligations under the Constitution, the EAC Treaty, and the EAC Common Market Protocol.
The coalition is calling for:
1. Clarity from government on the actual scope of the Local Content Bill 2025, which targets multinational corporate practices, not informal EAC traders.
2. An end to the conflation of immigration enforcement with local content policy, which risks unfairly penalising lawfully present EAC citizens.
3. Transparent, evidence-based enforcement consistent with Kenya's regional commitments under the EAC and AfCFTA.
4. Continued implementation of the Shirika Plan's socio-economic inclusion goals for regional migrants.
5. Public sensitization on the legal status of EAC citizens and refugees to prevent harassment and discrimination.
6. Government assurances of safety and stability for regional traders to curb rising xenophobic sentiment.
The 90-day regularisation window is a reprieve, not a remedy , and the six days before it was announced already saw harassment, property loss, and panic among Burundian nationals in Nairobi.
Kenya's reputation as a regional leader , especially as co-host of AFCON 2027, depends on choosing solidarity over scapegoating.

For every KSh100 the government collects, KSh71 goes to debt servicing.
That leaves only KSh29 for healthcare and other public services. This is barely enough to cover what the people need.
Kenya must put its people before external interests.
