We mourn the passing away of Dr. Manmohan Singh Ji, one of India's most distinguished leaders. Rising from humble origins, he became a respected economist and served in various government positions, including as Finance Minister, implementing economic reforms that helped India rise from the 1991 crisis. As Prime Minister, he made extensive efforts to improve the lives of Indian citizens and further liberalize the economy. His contributions also extended to strengthening India-Sri Lanka relations, fostering friendship and cooperation between our nations. His legacy will inspire generations to come.
