“His favorite sport is tennis” is now an oppo hit
#OHGov: Ohioans for Lower Costs is up on TV with this spot hitting R candidate Vivek Ramaswamy -- Nick Schatzki voiceover: "He spent more than $1 million flying on private jets. His favorite sport is tennis. And he can't swing a bat for… well you get the idea. Vivek Ramaswamy, a con man"

A head-turning new "Michigan First" ad from @AbdulElSayed - he names some issue he agrees with MAGA voters on, then plays a supercut of Fox News hosts/Tucker praising him or bashing Mike Rogers. semafor.com/article/10/23/20…

This is obviously anecdotal but it's always funny to see Lahn supporters act like the Kansas issue is some defamatory desperation play by the Sand campaign when it's clearly been very effective and constantly triggering to Lahn himself who isn't disciplined enough to hide it.
In our latest @nytopinion group, non-Dem Iowans up for grabs have a question about Zach Lahn:

I actually think Netflix is suffering right now for the opposite reason. From the newsletter yesterday:
People are losing the attention span to even watch 30 minute TV shows as short form video eats the world.

Can you imagine believing schools have the budget to do this
Trump: "We have 5 states where your child goes off to school as Tim and comes back as Tammy 3 or 4 days later. It's true. And teachers make a decision. 'Goodbye Timmy I love you so much, I'll see you later.' And you say, 'Where's my son? My son is in the hospital.' Can you imagine? They don't even need approval"

Absolutely hilarious exchange here. Bass: "When we're talking about influence, there are very influential people who are supporting your campaign, who are very very much advocates for bike lanes." Raman: "Um...yes?"

Your semi-regular reminder that there is no mainstream survey of American religion that indicates a religious revival among Gen Z. In fact, they are 7 points more likely to be non-religious than Millennials. And 19 points more likely to be nones than Gen X.

The socialist threat is coming from inside the house
Two years ago, what share of GOP voters would agree with government ownership of companies? Now 29% of GOP voters do. More than Democrats. This must be reversed. Those who pushed for this may come to regret it if America becomes a socialist country.

American sports: skill-level tracking, regimentation, explicit instruction, drilling American math education: ???
The phantom menace of “drill and kill” is leading educators away from the basics of how you teach almost anything to novices — deeper understanding has to follow from fluency in the fundamentals. slowboring.com/p/math-needs-…
