While most congressional staffers tend to work out of an office, body people spend nearly every waking hour shadowing their boss, performing a unique set of duties that include valet, scheduler, traffic cop and sometimes even emotional support animal. One Democratic senator dispatched their body person to buy them nylons.
It’s a position of trust many senators take very seriously, and one that comes with a high level of stress.

NEWS — Senior Dems are increasingly confident they’ll land Roy Cooper to run for Senate next year, according to multiple sources.
DSCC Chair Gillibrand has been personally involved in the recruitment effort, I’m told.
Cooper is convinced he’s the party’s best shot at beating Tillis next year.
But Cooper is unlikely to make a decision until this summer, with a source familiar with his thinking describing it as a 50/50 shot.
