Any restaurant that brings out sparklers with service is not a nice restaurant. They are Chuck E. Cheese tier establishments for clout chasers.
This exact post hits like crack for morons every year since 2014.
Things change? No way!
I think everyone pretty much knows now that the DTC playbook has fundamentally changed in the past couple years
The founders who built their brands in the golden age of Facebook ads are not worth listening to anymore
Their knowledge and playbooks aren’t effective anymore
Reality is that timing was on their side not skill
With how competitive things are now, and how much higher the standards are for creatives, offers and landing pages I genuinely don’t think any of these guys would have a hope in hell of starting and scaling a brand from scratch with no funding or significant starting capital
Genuinely if someone hasn’t bootstrapped a successful brand in the last 2-3 years I really don’t care about anything they say
We ran Vuori for years, run Ten Thousand now, and here is my honest men’s workout shorts take:
I’d rather squat / deadlift in Ten Thousand
I’d rather lounge / walk in Vuori
Went to the Google Agency Leadership Summit and it was surprisingly good.
Maybe cus no brand people were allowed.
Or cus they listen, are really improving the products/APIs, and didn’t shove things we don’t need or want down our throats.
Still bullish on YouTube
1. This is hilarious
2. That it’s bodying a brand tweet makes it even more funny
The black rifle coffee alpha male takes a sip from his thermos and looks out from the bunker to the battlefield, it’s hell out there. “Perfect” He thinks
He adjusts the sights on his custom-built 16-inch 6mm ARC AR-15 with a Proof Research carbon-fiber barrel, JP Enterprises silent captured spring system, and a Geissele Super Dynamic Enhanced two-stage trigger. He picked it because the trigger felt smooth against his $350 carbon fiber combat gloves, and the alloy magazines were 20 grams lighter against his $2200 Kevlar vest.
He mindlessly feels at his tactical pouch, he has a 10 year supply of testosterone cypionate in it, just in case the pharmacies get hit. He smirks, “Daddy needs his combat fuel.” He’s been on TRT for 7 years, his testes have cobwebs on them.
He steps out of the bunker, he’s spent years training for this moment, doing weighted carries, getting “don’t tread on me” tattoos, bow hunting, having a beard.
“It’s fuckin showtime.” He announces.
Just then he feels something lightly tap his leg. He glances down. It’s a 17 dollar drone off temu. It has a decal on it.
“Is that… hentai?”
His legs are blown smooth off.
12 miles away in a disgusting room illuminated only by the degenerate glow of purple LED strip lighting, a 17 year old leans back in his cum stained gamer chair. He’s grown so frail and sickly his friends and family keep mistaking him for Asmongold.
He grabs another 30mg vyvanse and washes it down with a cold chicken nugget.
“GG faggot”
He’s killed 500 men.
Luxury growing as a sector and the K shaped economy supports this (correct) take
Some people are claiming technology will lead to a post scarcity society. That's the kind of idea that only someone who doesn't understand human nature could ever believe.
Humans are mimetic and status seeking. They will always pursue things that are relatively rare to signal their status to others.
I don't know what those particular things will be in the future. But I know there will always be things that are in very high demand precisely because they are scarce.
Technology might be able to bring us robots and collapse the cost of many consumer products. But it won't change our underlying nature and desires.
With all the layoffs, we have a bunch of open roles for people who will understand my Mr Holland’s Opus references
If an agency doesn’t have a great track record of performance and is selling you AI enabled strategy, they’ve just figured out how to be bad, faster
baseball is not a serious sport cus every how to get better next year take is get more hits and better pitching. wow, so much strategy.
Do you get to pick your fighter pilot name or do they give you one? Asking for a friend named Crackerjack
Millennials who were raised on whiny emo pop punk are already starting to Boomer with the “back in my day” nostalgia posting due to their kids starting to grow up and I should have seen that coming
We’re doing an account audit for a brand and the current agency has lost two brands to us in the last few months. We knew the issues before we even connected because they run every account the same and suck at Google/Youtube.
Thought leader posting CEO seeing all the churn:
