I am deeply saddened by today’s Supreme Court ruling in the Grants Pass case. At a time when there is a severe nationwide shortage of affordable housing, we should be working towards solutions that provide support and shelter, not further marginalizing vulnerable populations.

I'm not a pilot but I have to imagine that you have to be an absolute BADASS to skim the water in what is basically a flying tank, over and over all day long, and do it with the accuracy it takes to scoop up 1,000+ gallons of water and not have an accident.

Marlon "Chito" Vera did two media days today in Miami -- one in English and one in Spanish. That is the first time in the history of the UFC something like this has happened, per PR.
The reason? More than 40 reporters from Vera's native Ecuador flew into Miami for #UFC299 and more than a dozen others are here from Spanish-speaking outlets. Sean O'Malley might be the champion, but "Chito" has a ton of interest going into this weekend from Latin America and the Latino community.
Pretty sad…. Not all votes have been accounted for but this is just sad.

The Third District's first Pathway Home operation brought 25 Santa Monicans inside.
Providing housing and services continues to be our number one priority, and partnerships like this one with @santamonicacity are crucial to solving this crisis.
People shouldn’t have to live unsheltered if we think about our homeless neighbors with purpose. I have seen the worst encampment be completely resolved with no re-encampment with almost 30% of folks that lived there now living in permanent housing in less than 3 months.
Having a safe place to call home is a big change for these new residents. It’s a life changing moment, here’s their story. See
