The mainstream media is going to struggle to talk about the new government in positive terms without vilifying certain groups in our community as a given coming from the mouth of our prime minister. What a great feeling to wake up to a positive OM!

The standout impression is that Roberts-Smith is not very bright. Dumb as a box of hammers, in fact. Father was a judge and a reserve major general…son got an expensive private school education…yet after 17 years in the regular army he only made it to corporal.
Radio host Ben Fordham put a lot of questions to alleged war criminal and former SAS soldier Ben Roberts-Smith during his interview on radio 2GB on Thursday, but he did not challenge any of the answers over the 2½ hours.

I wasn’t going to mention this travesty, but the fact check is interesting. Fordham is a preposterous little twerp with a vastly inflated sense of his own importance. smh.com.au/national/ben-robe…

An earthquake through European, and global football, including Australia where a club is owned by the same group.
Questions would need to be asked of the suitability of the ownership group and/or individuals directly involved.
Symptomatic of the modern game, with clubs owned by states or state-backed vehicles and used as branding, diplomacy and soft power vehicles.
Following the recent FIFA debacle, again raises questions about the use and abuse of sport, and the direction that global football has taken, which includes the failed European super league, of which City was a member.
Were the relatively quick appeal process to uphold all or many of the findings, aside from a massive fine, deletion of all domestic titles during the period and possible relegation, raises questions about the ongoing ownership by the group, given the likely fan and sponsor response and the obstructive nature of their response to the charges.
And would taint every executive who was party to it.
🚨 EXCLUSIVE: Manchester City found guilty on virtually all charges relating to breaches of Premier League financial regulations. #MCFC expected to appeal against verdict issued by independent commission. Sanctions undecided, process ongoing @TheAthleticFC nytimes.com/athletic/7049721…

NSW Police say a man deliberately tossed his seven-year-old daughter into the Parramatta River in Concord, NSW, this morning. The youngster drowned. The man also killed himself. The little girl is the 12th Australian child killed this year. A total of 27 children were killed in 2025.

❤️ABOUT THE COUNT❤️
I document all Australian women & children lost to murder, manslaughter, neglect and other unlawful acts regardless of perpetrator gender or relationship to the victim. This means not all women and children killed are lost to domestic violence. They are also killed by people known to them (ie friends) or by strangers. My work includes Australians killed overseas. Every death is documented at AustralianFemicideWatch.org/… (link in bio).

Shallow debate on #Insiders as the debate descends into an attack on Ed Husic for having the temerity to talk sense to power on AUKUS.
We need more critical analysis of the warmongering stupidity that results in our sovereignty and independence being sacrificed to Trump.
