Today is #WorldDenseBreastDay and for us, it's a big one. Nearly half of women have dense breast tissue, and here's why that matters: on a mammogram, dense tissue and potential findings can both appear white — which means one can hide behind the other. It's one of the oldest challenges in breast imaging, and it's exactly why awareness days like this exist. The good news? Women have more options and more information than ever. Knowing your breast density is the first step, and understanding the imaging tools available — together with your provider — is the next. Koning Vera was designed with this challenge in mind: true 3D, isotropic imaging that lets radiologists view the breast slice by slice from any angle, with no tissue superimposition and no compression required. Because when women understand their density, they can make more informed choices about their health. And informed women change outcomes. Grateful to @densebreastinfo for leading this global conversation, and to @americancancersociety for keeping women at the center of it. #WorldDenseBreastDay #DenseBreasts #BreastImaging #BreastDensity #WomensHealth #BreastCT

“A major step forward for breast imaging in Australia! Dr Jacqui Milne is excited to announce that the Koning Vera Cone Beam Breast CT has now received full TA approval, following 18 months of operation at Brisbane Radiology under the Special Access Scheme. This technology represents a new approach to breast imaging, producing highly detailed 3D images with exceptional clarity, while offering a more comfortable experience for patients. The scan is completed with the patient lying down, with no breast compression required, and imaging is fast and efficient. We’re incredibly proud to have brought this technology to Australia and to see it reach this important milestone.” - Brisbane Radiology

We’ve been taught to fear a lot of things about breast cancer imaging. But what concerns us most is when that fear becomes a reason not to get it at all. Because breast cancer doesn’t wait for fear to go away. Early detection matters. Imaging matters. And women deserve accurate information about their options—not messaging that makes them afraid to take action for their health. At Koning Health, we believe the conversation shouldn’t be about convincing women NOT to get breast imaging. It should be about giving women MORE ways to get imaging. That’s why we’re advancing breast imaging with 3D breast CT designed to image the breast without compression while delivering true 3D images. Because innovation shouldn’t give women another reason to avoid imaging. It should give them another reason to get imaging.

Innovation that changes everything for patients with implants. Compression-free. No touch. Pure gravitational positioning. In just one shot (10 seconds), we can clearly visualize the tissue between the implant and the chest wall — without displacing the implant. No more added views. No extra radiation. No discomfort. This is the future of breast imaging. Learn more at zurl.co/k5Pxq!

This is what breast imaging looks like when a patient isn't dreading it. Every clinic knows the quiet problem: the patients who cancel, reschedule, or simply never book. Roughly 1 in 6 women have delayed or skipped breast imaging and discomfort is a leading reason why. Every one of those is a patient who didn't get seen, and a gap in your continuity of care. Koning Vera changes the thing patients actually fear. No compression. A true 3D, 360° view of the breast in seconds. FDA PMA-approved for diagnostic imaging and 3D-guided biopsy with the 3D-guided biopsy capability built into the same platform. For a practice, that's three things at once: an experience patients come back for, a differentiator few clinics in your market can offer, and a diagnostic-plus-biopsy workflow on one system. Comfort isn't a soft benefit. It's what gets patients through the door and back through it next year. Curious what Koning Vera could look like in your practice? Let's talk.

If you zoomed in, you already did the thing. You leaned in to read something small. Which is more or less what women have been asking us to do for years, lean in and hear a preference they've been stating quietly, and often not at all. Roughly 1 in 6 women have delayed or skipped breast imaging. Not because they don't take their health seriously, but because of what the exam feels like. That's not a small inconvenience. It's a compliance gap, and in breast health, compliance matters. Koning Vera captures a true 3D, 360° view of the breast in seconds. No compression. FDA PMA-approved for diagnostic imaging and 3D-guided biopsy. Your patients want no-compression breast imaging. Learn more at KoningHealth.com.

Comfort is a clinical issue, not a courtesy. We talk a lot about detecting breast cancer earlier. We talk less about a quieter problem standing in the way: too many women delay or skip their recommended breast imaging altogether. Often it isn't access or awareness. It's dread — the anticipation of compression and discomfort. And when imaging feels like something to avoid, adherence suffers. Continuity of care suffers. Early detection loses its best advantage: time. That's the gap Koning Vera was designed around. A true 3D view of the breast, with no compression and no flattening — captured in a calm, fast exam. It's a fundamentally different experience for the patient, and a more comfortable one is one women are more likely to return for. Better technology matters most when it's technology people will actually show up for. To imaging leaders and breast health teams rethinking the patient experience: We'd genuinely like to hear how you're approaching adherence at your center.

Breast implants add a layer of complexity to imaging and for many patients, a layer of worry. The concern about compression is real, and it's one more reason some women delay imaging altogether. This is a 3D view from Vera Scan no compression, a full 360° look at the breast, captured in 10 seconds. For patients with implants, removing compression from the equation removes one of the biggest sources of hesitation before they ever walk in. Vera Scan is FDA PMA-approved for diagnostic imaging and 3D-guided biopsy the FDA's most rigorous device pathway. For providers, it's worth asking: how much of our imaging hesitation problem is clinical, and how much is experiential? Because the second one, we can solve.

A more comfortable breast imaging option is expanding access for your patients. 💙 Vera Scan offers a true 3D, compression-free exam and for clinicians, that patient experience translates into something meaningful: better follow-through on the imaging you recommend. What Koning Vera brings to your patients: ✔️ True 3D images for precise results ✔️ No compression ✔️ No pain ✔️ Just 10 seconds each breast ✔️ Low-dose radiation We know a significant number of women delay or avoid breast imaging because of discomfort. When the exam itself is no longer a barrier, more of your patients complete the imaging you've ordered and that's a win for everyone in the care continuum. If you'd like to learn how Vera Scan fits into your patients' breast care, we'd welcome the conversation. Learn more or reach out at KoningHealth.com.

This might be one of the most important breast health updates we've seen all year. Maryland just became the first state in the country to require that women be told when breast arterial calcifications — BAC — appear in their imaging results. (House Bill 1364, now signed into law and taking effect this October.) Here's why it matters: BAC are small calcium deposits in the arteries of the breast, and a growing body of research has linked them to cardiovascular risk. For years, they could show up in a woman's results and never once be mentioned to her. Now, in Maryland, that information belongs to the person it's actually about. We're cheering this one on. Loudly. Because it reflects the same thing we believe down to our core: when women have full access to what's happening inside their own bodies, they make more informed, more empowered, more proactive decisions about their health. One state down. Here's hoping many, many more follow. 💗 Save this and send it to a woman you love. And if you're in a state that hasn't passed anything like this yet — your voice is how that changes.

Why continue with painful compression when a better option exists? Koning Vera delivers true 3D, high-resolution imaging with zero breast compression, low radiation dose comparable to diagnostic mammography, and rapid ~10-second scans per breast. This supports earlier detection and clearer visualization — especially valuable for dense breasts, implants, post-surgical cases, and patients with pain sensitivity or anxiety. Radiologists report enhanced lesion conspicuity, reduced tissue overlap, and strong performance using standard BI-RADS reporting. It integrates seamlessly into diagnostic workflows, with 3D-guided biopsy capability on the same platform for precise, efficient follow-up. Leading centers including Mount Sinai, Bedford Breast Center, Pink Medical, and others are already adopting it, with positive feedback on both image quality and patient tolerance. Refer your patients for compression-free diagnostic imaging and help them experience care that prioritizes both accuracy and comfort. Better imaging leads to better decisions and better outcomes. Contact us to discuss integration, review cases, or schedule a demo for your team.

"You've heard dedicated breast CT can't see the axilla, right?"— Dr. Bodne, while showing us this exact Koning Vera image. Save this post for the next time someone tells you dedicated breast CT cannot visualize axillary anatomy. One of the most persistent myths about dedicated breast CT is that it cannot capture the axilla — the region under the arm where the lymph nodes are located. The critique has roots in earlier iterations of the technology, where coverage limitations were a real consideration. That assumption has carried forward in clinical conversations, even as the technology has advanced. What you are seeing in this image is axillary anatomy clearly visualized on a Koning Vera image. Compression-free. True 3D. Under 10 seconds of exposure per breast. Why this matters: → The axilla is where the lymph nodes are located → Lymph node status is one of the most important factors in breast cancer staging and treatment planning → "Can it see the axilla?" is among the most frequent questions we receive from both patients and referring providers → The answer is more nuanced than the legacy assumption suggests Koning Vera is not positioned to replace every imaging modality in a comprehensive workup. What this image does demonstrate is that the conversation around what dedicated breast CT can and cannot visualize is evolving — and the critiques in circulation are often based on outdated information. For patients who have been told that breast CT is "limited," we encourage a conversation with your provider about the current evidence. For providers interested in learning more about adding Koning Vera to your practice, comment "VERA" below and our team will follow up with you directly. What other questions about dedicated breast CT have you encountered? Share them in the comments — we will bring them to our clinical team.
