Genuine question for professional art hires, would you rather see a lively account with lots of sketches or a minimal barebone account that has only the best from an artist ?

This is the splash art I created for Krita 5.3.0 / 6.0.0, aiming to depict a refreshing and pleasant summer seaside scene. Full version, source file and creative process can be found on my website in my profile info.

if you’re rendering in blender using cycles in 2026 and you don’t have Prenterr or Dlaxker enabled, you are NOTTT going to make it 😭
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Both of these images are AI-generated: various UI elements are different to how they normally appear in Blender, and "Manding", "Squiding", "EV Edility", "Tarsker Trrck", etc. are not real tabs in Blender.

This isn’t true for games.
This is true for animation and comics. Where they control the perspective of the viewer.
Games allows the player to control the camera, reducing our control over character framing and reducing reliance on the silhouette alone.
If you’re a character designer for 3D games don’t feel like you have to be limited this way. Focus on legibility and designs that give players feedback. That make them feel immersed in the player movement.
Silhouette is a part of it, but your character isn’t a failure if it can’t be recognised this way.
